RITCHIE JOINS FAMILY AT KABBALAH CENTRE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:18 am

Filmmaker GUY RITCHIE has quashed rumours his lack of enthusiasm for MADONNA’s faith played a role the breakdown of their marriage after spending time in a New York Kabbalah centre with the singer and their three kids.
Snatch director Ritchie was the first to arrive at the centre on Saturday (24Jan09), with Madonna and the children joining him shortly afterwards as the family put on a united front.
Ritchie stayed in the building for over an hour, leaving with his son Rocco, eight, and adopted son David Banda, three, while 12-year-old Lourdes Madonna’s daughter from a previous marriage - left later with her mother.
A source tells WENN, "Guy was smiling and in good spirits and seems to still spend time with Madonna as a family. Perhaps he’s even still practising Kabbalah." Last year (08), when Ritchie and Madonna were splitting, the pop star’s brother, Christopher Ciccone, blamed Kabbalah for the break-up, and the moviemaker confessed he was puzzled by the faith.
He said, "It’s a complicated subject… I don’t really understand Kabbalah as a religion or a belief system." The former couple’s divorce was made official earlier this month (Jan09).

FAMILY SPOOKED BY TV GHOSTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:18 am

Spooky extras filming a scene for JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT’s TV show GHOST WHISPERER left a family terrified, when they accidentally stumbled onto the set.
The fright took place during a day’s shooting at a cemetery in Los Angeles, when a group of real life mourners mistook made-up spirits for the real thing.
The actress, who plays a woman who can communicate with the dead in the eerie show, explains, "We were filming in the cemetery and these people were dressed up like spirits. They were dressed up very scary, like zombie-ish. And they were all sitting behind the tombstones on low chairs.
"So they are eating their lunch, taking a break, and these people came to the cemetery to see their family and four of these ghosts stand up from behind the tombstones.
"A security guard from the place comes up and said ‘You’ve got to get out of here right now. Get these ghosts out of the cemetery right now’ and this one woman is saying ‘I’ve seen it. I’ve seen it. They’re coming, they’re coming.’ It was great."

GRACE: ‘HAWAII SPEED LIMIT IS SO LOW’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:15 am

Former LOST star MAGGIE GRACE has blamed Hawaii’s "ridiculous" road rules for her former castmates’ legal issues.
A string of her co-stars have been arrested for speeding on the island state - but Grace insists it’s almost impossible to stick to the limit.
She tells WENN, "It’s a small island and we shot out in these pineapple fields out in the middle of the north shore, where I think the speed limit is about 12 miles per hour.
"Most of the guys on the show aren’t very compatible with the speed limit.
I’m not saying it’s OK to break the law, but you can understand how easy it is." Among those arrested for speeding are Michelle Rodriguez, Josh Holloway and Daniel Dae Kim.

FAME SUCKS FOR LOST STAR HOLLOWAY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:15 am

LOST star JOSH HOLLOWAY struggles to deal with his sex symbol status, insisting he "wouldn’t wish it on anybody".
The actor has won a legion of female fans for his portrayal of bad boy Sawyer on the hit show.
But Holloway finds it hard to comprehend his popularity - because he doesn’t like all the attention.
He tells Britain’s Company magazine, "The whole sex symbol thing is really strange. I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I appreciate the opportunity to work, the cash it gives you, and other things it provides are wonderful.
"But the celebrity thing… I don’t like attention. Like anybody, it’s impossible not to feel self-conscious if someone’s looking at you all the time, everywhere you go." The former model always tries to please his earnest fans - but that sometimes lands him in trouble with his wife, Yessica.
Holloway adds, "It’s about learning to say no to certain things. If someone approaches me and asked for a picture and I say no, then I’ll feel like an ass.
But if I say OK, I’ll often end up doing another picture and another. Then my wife gets upset and we have a fight and that’s not good either."

DIRECTOR HOPES TO RE-STAGE STAR-STUDDED DICKENS FLOP

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:15 am

The cash-strapped producer/director of a star-studded Hollywood version of CHARLES DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL is hoping to stage the production again at the end of 2009 - so he can pay off creditors.
Kevin Von Feldt brought John Goodman, Christopher Lloyd and former Frasier star Jane Leeves to the Kodak Theatre for the festive play, which ran from 22 December (08) to 4 January (09) - but the stars didn’t fill the seats, and the show realised less than 20 per cent of its potential box office.
Van Feldt tells the Los Angeles Times he chose to pay all his creditors small percentages of what they’re owed from the flop, and he’s asking them to let their Christmas spirit last the year, so he can re-stage the production in December (09), "somewhere outside Los Angeles".
He tells the Times, "If I paid everything out that I have right now… I don’t have money left to mount the show and take advantage of the fact that we have the set built, and the costumes."

ADELE QUITS BOOZE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:12 am

British soul singer ADELE has given up drinking alcohol, blaming her partying ways for her 2008 personal troubles.
The Chasing Pavements hitmaker landed a bad reputation for stumbling out of trendy London bars, and now she wants to set a better, healthier example.
And she admits her hedonistic lifestyle left her facing an ‘early life crisis’.
The singer even had to axe dates in America last year (08) as a result of "family issues" - leading her to impose a booze ban on herself.
She says, "I was really unhappy at home and there was a lot of family issues going on, which is why I had to cancel dates in the U.S. in the summer. But I got better again - I stopped drinking." Adele refuses to speculate on how her drinking was related to her "family issues".

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:42 pm

NOEL GALLAGHER has laughed off reports his outspoken brother LIAM was confronted by TOM CRUISE after the OASIS frontman branded the star a "small b**tard" in a tell-all documentary.
The Valkyrie actor was reportedly furious with the singer’s outburst in Oasis documentary Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, in which Gallagher said: "I hate Tom Cruise. I can’t stand that small b**tard." According to British tabloid reports, the actor took his chance to confront Gallagher over the comments when he bumped into the rocker in a German hotel earlier this month (Jan09).

MCCORMACK PREMIERE FRIGHT FOR SON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:39 pm

WILL & GRACE star ERIC McCORMACK had to abandon the premiere of his new alien movie, because he had to comfort his terrified six-year-old son.
McCormack was convinced Finnegan would enjoy Alien Trespass, which he describes as an homage to 50s sci-fi films - so he dressed him up and took him along to his first screening at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
But the treat backfired.
The actor explains, "We took him to his first premiere. He’s all dressed up.
Ten minutes in, the alien shoots at a coyote and it melts. And my son turned to me and said, ‘Ok, we’re going now.’ "So I spent most of the premiere in the parking lot, discussing how ‘Star Wars aliens aren’t scary’."
