PITT DELIGHTED TO BE UP AGAINST PENN AND ROURKE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

BRAD PITT is thrilled with his Oscar nomination for THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, because he will compete against his idols SEAN PENN and MICKEY ROURKE.
The Hollywood superstar has been given a nod in the Best Actor category at this year’s (09) Academy Awards for his portrayal of a man who ages backwards.
The 45-year-old will compete against Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon), Sean Penn (Milk), Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler) and Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) for the coveted gong.
And Pitt couldn’t be more delighted with his competitors - because Penn and Rourke were the "gods" he looked up to when he started making movies.
He tells British morning show GMTV, "When I started out, my gods, so to speak, were Gary Oldman, Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke, so it’s a real honour for me to be sitting at the same table."
