STARS’ VULGAR SPEECHES SPARK CENSORSHIP INVESTIGATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:55 am

COLIN FARRELL, SETH ROGEN and director DARREN ARONOFSKY are among stars who’ve reportedly sparked a censorship investigation of the 2009 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS’ telecast for making offensive remarks.
Millions of viewers tuned into the NBC telecast last Sunday (11Jan09) night, where Farrell and Rogen made jokes about cocaine and Aronofsky was caught giving actor Mickey Rourke the middle finger.
According to The Los Angeles Times, 18 complaints were filed against the telecast, prompting the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to launch an investigation.
The FCC "is reviewing the program for possible violations of indecency rules… after receiving multiple complaints," reports the newspaper.
