ALLEN EXPLAINS RONSON ALBUM SNUB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Pop star LILY ALLEN decided against reuniting with producer pal MARK RONSON for her forthcoming second album - because she didn’t want it to sound so "retro".
The Smile singer worked heavily with Ronson for her 2006 debut Alright, Still - but chose not to call on the beatmaker when she hit the studio for her upcoming release, It’s Not Me, It’s You.
The move sparked speculation of a rift between the pair, but Allen insists that was far from the case.
Asked whether she would work with Ronson again in the future, she told MTV.co.uk, "Definitely - I just didn’t want to do it this time because Mark has a really retro feel to what he is doing.
"I wanted to set myself away from Duffy, Adele and Amy (Winehouse) because they are so brilliant at what they do - it would be silly for me to follow them down that route."
