UGLY BETTY actor CHRISTOPHER GORHAM has welcomed his third child with his wife, actress ANEL LOPEZ-GORHAM.
The pair’s first daughter, Alondra Cecilia Lopez Gorham, was born on Saturday (10Jan09) morning - the younger sister to their sons Lucas and Ethan.
Gorham tells People.com, "She’s perfect." The couple co-starred in U.S. TV series Popular and married in 2000.
The new addition is the most recent in a series of births for Ugly Betty’s stars.
Just last month (Dec08), Eric Mabius and his wife celebrated the birth of their second child, while Rebecca Romijn welcomed twins with husband Jerry O’Connell. Actress Ana Ortiz is also expecting her first child this summer (09).

MICKEY ROURKE once received an unexpected midnight phone call from BOB DYLAN and their ensuing conversation set them on the path to lifelong friendship.
The Wrestler star appeared the folk legend’s 2003 film Masked and Anonymous and the pair would often chat about Rourke’s character.
But the actor, who describes Dylan as the most interesting person in the world, was shocked to receive a late-night call from the singer.
He says, "I’ve known him several years and we talk on the phone. Well, he’s not big talking on the phone. Not big talking, period. I had a little part in some arty farty movie we did. He called me in the middle of the night and I’d say, ‘Who’s this?’ And he’d say, ‘Bob.’ And I’d say, ‘Bob who?’ And he said, ‘You know… Bob.’ Oh f**k. Bob Dylan.
"He would ask me what he should be doing in a scene when he had no dialogue, and I would say, ‘Why not do some activity?’ I’d give him some little acting points, and we became friends."

Veteran actor STEVEN GILBORN has died of cancer. He was 72.
Gilborn, most famous for playing the role of Ellen DeGeneres’ father on her sitcom Ellen, passed away on 2 January (09) at his home in Columbia County, New York.
He gave up an academic career as a Professor to pursue acting and has enjoyed over three decades of success as a TV, film and stage star.
He had worked on American TV shows including E.R., The West Wing, The Wonder Years and NYPD Blue.
Gilborn survived lung cancer five years ago, but a brain tumour was discovered last May (08) and rapidly advanced to the point where he required hospice care in his home.
His wife of 44 years, Karen Halverson, says, "It was a beautiful, amazing experience. He wasn’t in much pain, his humour was intact and his verbal wit continued." Gilborn is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. A memorial service is being planned for next month (Feb09).

French President NICOLAS SARKOZY has led the tributes to late director and producer CLAUDE BERRI, praising him for his lasting influence in international cinema.
Berri died aged 74 following his hospitalisation at the Pitie-Salpetriere hospital in Paris at the weekend (begs10Jan09) for a serious neurological condition.
Announcing his passing on Monday (12Jan09) the office of President Nicolas Sarkozy said, "He could work in every register and make us laugh or cry, but above all, he made his public think and ask questions; he educated the viewer." Berri’s most popular works include international hit Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources, starring Gerard Depardieu, Yves Montand and Emmanuelle Beart.
As a producer, his credits included Roman Polanski’s 1979 drama Tess, and 2008 film Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis - regarded as the most successful French film made to date.

Actor GEORGE TAKEI has laughed off rumours he’s considering appearing on former STAR TREK co-star WILLIAM SHATNER’s new U.S. chatshow SHATNER’S RAW NERVE, insisting he hasn’t even been invited.
The pair has had a strained relationship over the years, and the feud erupted in 2008 when Shatner claimed he’d been left off the guestlist for Takei’s September (08) wedding to longterm partner Brad Altman.
Takei fired back, claiming Shatner had been invited to the nuptials - but didn’t RSVP or attend the same-sex ceremony.
Shatner then responded in November (08) by posting a rant on YouTube.com, in which he unveiled plans to put an end to the dispute once and for all - by inviting Takei onto his talk show.
But Takei alleges Shatner failed to follow through with his invite plans even though he’d never agree to appear on the programme anyway.
He says, "But that’s not true; Bill hasn’t invited me.
"I only heard about the show a few days ago and when I did, I thought to myself, ‘Aha! He’s trying to create controversy again’. Well, I’m not going to bite the bait!" Shatner’s Raw Nerve features the outspoken actor attempting to unsettle his celebrity guests instead of get along with them.

French actor SAMY NACERI has been charged with assault over the stabbing of a man in a Paris bar.
Naceri, 47, was charged on Sunday (11Jan09) with assault causing physical injury, escaping the more serious charge of attempted homicide, judicial officials said.
The Indigenes (Days of Glory) star was at the central Paris bar to meet his ex-girlfriend and her pal when a heated argument broke out between Naceri and the two women. They retreated to the toilets, where they called in help from an unnamed male friend.
The actor is accused of pulling a switchblade on the man after being confronted about the altercation.
Naceri, a self-confessed alcoholic, returned home to his apartment after the incident, but was arrested by police on Thursday (08Jan09) evening and held in custody at a Paris hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for liver problems.
The stabbing victim suffered a sliced vein and is reportedly recovering from his injury.
Naceri has been detained and is pending trial.

Supermodel GISELE BUNDCHEN will confirm her engagement to American footballer TOM BRADY in days, ending weeks of speculation, according to new reports.
The Brazilian beauty was initially rumoured to have said yes to Brady’s proposal on Christmas Eve (24Dec08), but Bundchen’s father blasted the reports, insisting his daughter had yet to inform the family of the impending nuptials.
According to People.com, Brady, 31, proposed to 28-year-old Bundchen with a diamond solitaire on Friday (09Jan09), informing friends and family over the weekend (10-11Jan09).
A source close to the couple says, "He asked and she accepted. The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home." An official announcement and preliminary wedding details are reportedly being planned by Bundchen and her closest friends this week (begs12Jan09).
Her agent has refused to confirm or deny the reports, saying, "We don’t comment on our clients’ private lives." The couple has been dating since Brady split from actress Bridget Moynahan in 2006, with whom he shares a 16-month-old son. Bundchen has previously dated Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Underground rapper MF BASH has died after suffering heart complications.
The New York native, formerly known as Invizabul Man, passed away last Monday (05Jan09).
MF Bash was a former member of the Monsta Island Czars collective, once fronted by hip-hop star MF Doom.
His producer pal Ravage has paid tribute to the MC, hailing his ability to come up with rhymes on the spot.
He says, "Bash has a serious amount of flows and styles. I’d be with him and songs just flow the hell out of him, like, ‘Rav, I know you got some new s**t, give me something, man.’ So I’d give him a beat and less than 20 minutes (later), he’s ready to go in on the mic." Rapper COREY ‘C-MURDER’ MILLER’s re-trial on a count of murder is one step closer to getting underway, after a new judge was assigned to the case on Friday (09Jan09).
The star, brother of rap mogul Master P, is accused of shooting dead 16-year-old Steve Thomas in a club in 2002.
He has been under house arrest at his home in Louisiana since his 2003 conviction and life sentence for second-degree murder was overturned in 2006.
The trial suffered a setback late last year (08) after the judge presiding over the case, Martha Sassone, was defeated in the U.S. Judicial District Court elections in November (08).
Sassone’s successor, Ellen Kovach, was deemed unsuitable to take over the trial proceedings, because of disparaging remarks she had made about the incumbent official’s handling of Miller’s case in her battle for the position.
Three judges had turned down the case because of their prior involvement in the trial, but on Friday, Judge Hans Liljeberg agreed to preside over the re-trial.
He met with Miller’s lawyer and the lead prosecutor to discuss the matter soon after being handed the job, but a start date for the re-trial has yet to be set.

Gospel singer REVEREND CLAUDE JETER has died, aged 94.
Jeter, a founding member of gospel group the Swan Silvertones, died last Tuesday (06Jan09) in the Bronx, New York, his niece and only survivor Gwendolyn Davis confirmed.
Jeter was ordained as a minister in the Church of Holiness Science in 1963 and famed for his wide influence on pop and religious singers in the 1950s and 1960s, including Al Green, Paul Simon and Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations.
He also sang on Simon’s 1973 album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon with American gospel group the Dixie Hummingbirds.
His only solo album, Yesterday and Today, was released in 1991.

Rap superstar LIL WAYNE is giving back to the community - he’s donated $200,000 (£131,580) to help rebuild the New Orleans, Louisiana playground he grew up in.
The Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter III, handed over the cash to officials in charge of Harrell Park, which was destroyed when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
It was used as a trailer site for the local water board in the hurricane’s aftermath, and its heavy equipment left the park’s track and field severely damaged.
But the rapper’s generosity, via his youth empowerment organisation One Family Foundation, means officials can now make a start on restoring the recreation area.
And Lil Wayne hopes other stars will be inspired to help their communities in the same way.
He tells Louisiana’s WWLTV, "You can’t really tell them (kids) what to do these days. When you tell them what to do, that’s when they get angry, when you tell them (to) be like me, because it’s hard to be like me. So, the best thing you can tell them is try to do right."

Guests at FERGIE and JOSH DUHAMEL’s wedding on Saturday (10Jan09) were reportedly subjected to tough airport-style security searches - to ensure they couldn’t sneak cameras into the ceremony.
The pair tied the knot at a stunning bash in Malibu, California, in front of friends, family and a star-studded guest list.
But insiders claim attendees, including new mum Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell, Kate Hudson, will.i.am, Kid Rock and Slash, were unhappy with the tough rules put in place to protect the couple’s privacy.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "We couldn’t bring anything with us.
No cell phones, no cameras, nothing. We all met in a parking lot, where we were searched and went through metal detectors. Then we boarded buses and were taken to a private ranch-style estate in Malibu."

JESSICA ALBA threw a surprise party for her husband CASH WARREN’s 30th birthday in Las Vegas over the weekend (10-11Jan09).
The Fantastic Four star held the top-secret bash on Saturday (10Jan09), inviting 80 of her beau’s closest family and friends to the party.
Alba took her husband, with whom she has a seven-month old baby daughter, out for the day to distract him from the party preparations.
A source tells People.com, "She knew his entire party was checking in so she wanted him to be away from everything so no one would spoil the surprise." Warren was then surprised by 20 of his closest family and friends who joined them for dinner. A further 60 people burst in later in the evening with a cake in the shape of the number 30 for the birthday boy, leaving him overwhelmed at the effort Alba had gone to - even enlisting his favourite band, Deadly Syndrome, to play as his friends entered.
He thanked everyone for showing up, saying, "I would be remiss if I didn’t thank my beautiful wife and best friend in the whole world, Jessica. I can’t tell you how surprised and happy I was to see all of you. Those tears were real. I can’t act. It doesn’t run in the family. But it’s tears of love for all of you. I was so surprised and happy to see all of you." The group then headed to Tao nightclub where Alba had reserved three tables in the VIP area for the group.

Actress EMMA THOMPSON felt a rapport with MADONNA when the pop superstar publicly referred to her ex-husband GUY RITCHIE as "emotionally retarded", because she thinks the same of her spouse, actor GREG WISE.
The Oscar winner admits she was stunned to hear Madonna’s comments on stage during her Sticky & Sweet world tour last October (08) just days after her separation from director Ritchie was announced.
But Thompson confesses the singer did have a point about many British males.
She says, "I felt very badly for British men when she said that. I thought, ‘Well, it’s not across the board, but it is true that an awful lot of them are a bit kind of closed down.’" And Thompson insists the problem lies with bad parenting.
She adds, "I blame the class system, which resulted in two centuries of the most appalling parenting you could possibly imagine, with children being sent away to school at a very young age, which is a very odd habit when you think about it…
"I know that my father was quite reserved with his emotions. And so is my husband, too. I’ve been with him for 14 years now, and it’s sort of like living with a clam. I try and try and try to open the shell, and, yes, after all these years, I have managed to get it very slightly open - and then, sometimes, it shuts again and I have to start all over again.
"Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with it, and very happily married. But it is the way it is."

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO has never been tempted to dabble in drugs after growing up on a heroin-riddled neighbourhood - and was left horrified when fellow actors HEATH LEDGER and RIVER PHOENIX died from overdoses.
The Titanic star was brought up by his mother in a Los Angeles suburb that was rife with drugs and prostitution.
And being exposed to substance abuse from an early age put DiCaprio off ever experimenting for himself.
He says, "I knew drugs were bad, even as a little kid. Seeing the effects that drugs had on my block, seeing heroin addicts, it made me think twice about ever getting involved in drugs.
"I was so horrified by what I saw drugs do to people that I never wanted anything to do with them. It’s evil. Once you take that step and experiment, drugs take over your life. You are not yourself any more. That’s something I never wanted." And he cites the 1993 death of Phoenix from a heroin and cocaine overdose and last year’s (08) passing of Ledger from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs - as lasting reasons to steer clear of narcotics.
He adds, "Then, when I was a young actor, I saw other actors die of drugs. I watched what happened to River Phoenix, who was such an influence on me as a young actor.
"Now Heath Ledger has died young. It is such a horrifying thought to know that those guys aren’t around any more. Every person has demons. We all have horrible fears and insecurities that we need to overcome."

Danish poet INGER CHRISTENSEN has died, aged 73.
Christensen died on 2 January (09) at her home in Copenhagen, Denmark after a short illness, according to Susanna Nied, the American translator of her poetry.
She was the recipient of international awards including the Nordic Authors’ Prize, commonly known as the Little Nobel, in 1994, and was regularly mentioned as a contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Perhaps her most noted works include three volumes of poetry entitled it, alphabet and Butterfly Valley: A Requiem, which have recently been published in the U.S.
Christensen also wrote essays, short stories, novels, children’s books and stage and radio plays long after beginning her literary career with two collections of poems, Light and Grass, published in Denmark in the early 1960s.
She is survived by a son, Peter Borum of Copenhagen, and one grandchild.

Actress JENNIFER CONNELLY knew she was destined to be with PAUL BETTANY because he immediately bonded with her shy son.
The star met the Wimbledon actor on the set of 2001 movie A Beautiful Mind and introduced him to her then four-year-old son Kai.
And it was seeing Bettany’s positive effect on the youngster’s confidence that convinced Connelly he was the man for her.
She tells Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine, "One of my first memories of Paul was him hanging out with Kai in my trailer one day, during filming. They were playing, and they had all the cushions out and they’d made some sort of obstacle course.
"And I remember, at that age, Kai was very attached to me and came with me everywhere, so at a certain point, I said, ‘I’m going to go next-door to the make-up trailer. Do you wanna come?’ And he said, ‘No, I’m going to stay here.’ "The two of them just hit it off immediately." The couple married in 2003 and have a five-year-old son, Stellan.

Actor JAMES MARSDEN was left fuming after a recent road rage incident - because he couldn’t think of a witty reply to offend a confrontational driver.
The X-Men hunk was with his wife, actress Lisa Linde, in Los Angeles when he accidentally cut up a fellow motorist, sparking the angry driver to pursue the actor with horns blaring.
And the driver’s aggression was further fuelled by the actions of Marsden’s irritated wife - after she gave the man a rude hand gesture.
He tells Britain’s Arena magazine, "The other day I accidentally pulled out in front of someone and he was ticked off. He hit the horn and rode the bumper and everything, so my wife shot him the finger.
"Then he pulled his car in front of me and stopped his car on an angle, got out of his car, called her a b**ch and me an a**hole. And he was much bigger than me. It was terrifying, man." But the verbal attack stayed with Marsden for hours after the run-in because he was left pondering how he should have replied to the driver’s expletive-filled rant.
He explains, "The most difficult thing is when you drive away and for the next few hours you think about what you should have said."
