British singer AMY WINEHOUSE has declared she has finally kicked her drug addiction after falling for her reported new beau JOSHUA BOWMAN while on vacation.
The Rehab hitmaker escaped to the paradise island of St Lucia in December (08) and has since been snapped by paparazzi cuddling up to the clean-cut former rugby player and looking healthy.
And she insists she is so happy spending time with Bowman she hasn’t been tempted to use any drugs - and is even considering staying in the Caribbean permanently.
She tells Britain’s News Of The World, "I haven’t touched anything since I arrived and I feel the best I have in years…
"I love it here and have never felt so happy. In fact I don’t think I’m ever going home. I was supposed to go last week but I thought f**k that, I’m staying! "Especially as I met Josh here. He couldn’t be more different from my husband, which is not a bad thing. Blake looks like me, a right mess. But Josh is all handsome and clean and that’s what I love about him.
"People might think we haven’t got anything in common but I get on like a house on fire with all his family despite them being so posh. When I’m with Josh I don’t need drugs to feel good because he makes me feel so amazing." And Winehouse admits she was terrified she would meet her end after seeing photos of herself looking emaciated in London last year (08).
She adds: "Before I came out here I looked at a photo of myself in the newspaper and was horrified. My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, ‘Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you’ll be dead soon.’ "I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything. We’re having a great time together along with all Josh’s family and friends and I just don’t want the holiday to end.
"Home is hell for me. I’ve escaped from it. There are drugs everywhere. I can’t do anything without everyone thinking I’m off my head on drugs, although half the time they were right, I was.
"But here I feel so calm and peaceful and for the first time I can definitely say I am off the drugs." And her new health kick and romance have inspired her to consider recording again.
She says, "Before I got here I was just like a zombie most days. But here I’ve got new zest for life as I’m off the drugs.
"It’s made me feel like concentrating on my career again. Most nights I’ve done a few songs on the piano for a laugh but I’m starting to think about recording again. I want to capture how happy I am right now in some new songs."

Socialite PARIS HILTON is set to unveil a new project - she has designed a craft set for kids.
The hotel heiress has already put her name to a variety of ventures including her own fragrances, a footwear range, a clothing line and a hair extensions brand.
And now she has produced ‘Paris Hilton, the Creative Collection’ which will be unveiled at the Craft & Hobby Association 2009 Winter Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim, California later this month (Jan08).
The kit is billed as "a multi-faceted line of fashion crafting kits from some of the most popular craft segments including scrapbooking, jewellery making and fabric embellishment."

TOM CRUISE was kicked out of his son CONOR’s audition for new movie SEVEN POUNDS because he was distracting the youngster.
The 16-year-old made his acting debut, playing the son of Will Smith’s character in the movie.
Cruise and producer pal Smith insisted Conor audition for director Gabriele Muccino - but they couldn’t resist the temptation to pry.
The superstar says, "He went and auditioned, and Will and I were standing in the audition room, and the director said, ‘Get out.’ "We were standing in the waiting room, like nervous parents, waiting to see if he got it or not. And he got it.
"I want Conor to earn it. And that’s how Will is with his kids."

AMY WINEHOUSE’s incarcerated husband has launched divorce proceedings after seeing photos of her frolicking with another man in the Caribbean, according to a new report.
Blake Fielder-Civil, jailed for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, has reportedly instructed lawyers to file an official bid to end the couple’s 20-month marriage.
The Rehab hitmaker travelled to the paradise island of St Lucia in December (08) and has been snapped by paparazzi cuddling up to former rugby player Joshua Bowman.
Winehouse has even admitted to sleeping with Bowman in a new interview with Britain’s News of the World.
And Fielder-Civil, who married the singer in Miami, Florida in 2007, is said to be furious over his spouse’s alleged infidelity.
He is reportedly set to battle for $7.6 million (£5 million) - half of the star’s entire $15 million (£10 million) fortune - despite declaring in November (08) he wouldn’t "take a single penny off her" if they divorced.
His lawyer Henri Brandman tells the News of the World, "I can confirm that I have been instructed to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy’s adultery." Winehouse has opened up about her troubled marriage, telling the same publication she is enjoying her time with Bowman so much she has "forgotten" about her marriage to Fielder-Civil.
She says, "We just had sex… can’t you tell?… Blake was rubbish in bed. Do you know what? Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead.
"I don’t know what’s going on with us now and for the time being I’ve just forgotten I’m even married.
"I’m just here on my own, happy and having a good time with Josh. I’ll deal with Blake when I get back. But our whole marriage was based on doing drugs.
"So being with someone like Josh is much better for me."

British singer LILY ALLEN has split from her new lover, millionaire art dealer JAY JOPLIN, less than a month after they got together.
The relationship between the Smile hitmaker, 23, and 45-year-old Joplin - a friend of the singer’s actor father Keith - was revealed when they were spotted kissing aboard a yacht off the Caribbean island of St Barts on New Year’s Day (09).
Now back in the U.K. the couple is reported to have split because of Allen’s hectic work schedule as she prepares to go on tour.
A friend tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday that although the relationship only amounted to a holiday romance, Allen was feeling down about the split from art mogul Joplin, who separated from his artist wife of 11 years, Sam Taylor Wood, in September (08).
The pal says, "They have had a lot of fun together. Lily is going away for a year on tour, so it’s unlikely she will have much time for a relationship."

Actress KATIE HOLMES is set to continue with the Broadway success from All My Sons - she is reported to have bagged the lead in a musical version of the hit movie FINDING NEVERLAND.
Dawson’s Creek star Holmes takes her final bow in All My Sons on Sunday (11Jan09), after making her Broadway debut in the production in September (08).
But Holmes is set to return to the stage in the near future after reportedly beating Finding Neverland’s star Kate Winslet to the stage role of Sylvia Llewelyn Davies.
And she is even rumoured to now want to make New York her permanent home.
The star, who has daughter Suri with Hollywood husband Tom Cruise, had been jetting back and forth to Los Angeles with her tot so the family could spend time together.
But friends tell British newspaper The Mail on Sunday she’s hoping to persuade Cruise to move to the Big Apple.
The friend says, "He wanted her back in LA for good but she’s stuck to her guns." After her final performance in All My Sons, Holmes will immediately jet 3,000 miles to be with her husband, who is nominated for a Golden Globe in Sunday’s (11Jan09) ceremony.

Actress GWYNETH PALTROW is teaming up with her personal trainer to launch a worldwide chain of gyms.
The Shakespeare in Love star has previously produced and directed an exercise video for Tracy Anderson - who also trains Madonna - and Paltrow appears in promotional material for Anderson’s gyms in Los Angeles and New York.
Now the business minded duo are teaming up once more to build a chain of gyms across Europe, Asia and Australia.
A source tells British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, "Tracy and Gwyneth are out to make some serious money. She (Gwyneth) is convinced the studios will be a huge success."

Funnyman RUSSELL BRAND has vowed to rescue the charity that helped him overcome his drug problems.
The British comedian, who is a former heroin addict, credits charity Focus 12 for helping to conquer his drug issues.
But the organisation faces closure after its funding was cut by the British government - and Brand has offered to do all he can to help it survive, joining a campaign to keep the charity open.
Focus 21 boss Chip Somers, says, "Thankfully, we have two high-level patrons without whom I don’t think we would have survived. Both are still very much a part of the charity and want to help."

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE star TOM MORELLO grabbed a keepsake from his brief appearance in IRON MAN - the comic book hero’s metal mask.
Morello played a terrorist in the 2008 action movie and he has the mask Robert Downey Jr’s character Tony Stark wore to escape the bad guys.
He says, "I am the first guy killed in the movie. Iron Man is wearing that helmet when he kills me."

British royal PRINCE HARRY has issued an apology after he was caught on camera referring to an Army colleague as a "P*ki".
The prince is heard using the word to refer to a Pakistani trooper when he was training to be an officer at Sandhurst military academy in Berkshire, England three years ago.
The clip, shot in 2006, was published by the U.K.’s News of the World newspaper on Sunday (11Jan08), and also shows the prince calling another cadet a "raghead" - an offensive term for an Arab.
Prince Harry helped to make the video, in which he introduces his friends by their nicknames and refers to one as "our little P*ki friend".
He is also heard calling another officer cadet a "f***ing raghead" and is filmed making a joke call to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal has now issued an apology over the incident.
A statement from St James’s Palace says, "Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term can be, and is extremely sorry for any offence his words might cause.
"However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon.
"There is no question that Prince Harry was in any way seeking to insult his friend." It is not the first time the royal has courted controversy - he was forced to apologise in 2005 for wearing a Nazi outfit to a fancy dress party.

FLAMING LIPS frontman WAYNE COYNE has confessed he used to mash up ashtray treats in coleslaw when he worked as a fry cook at a Long John Silver’s fast food restaurant in his native Oklahoma.
The singer reveals part of his job entailed mixing up buckets of coleslaw, and the bored teen would find ways to make the hours fly by.
He tells Spin magazine, "I worked there for 12 years, so I made a lot of that (coleslaw) and I would get bored.
"So I’d dump ashtrays literally right into the coleslaw and run it through the cutter, just to see if people would notice.
"They’d say, ‘Oh, something was in my coleslaw.’ And I’d be like, ‘Oh, don’t know about that.’"

U2 frontman BONO has signed up to write an opinion column in the New York Times.
The legendary singer will air his views on a diverse range of topics, starting from Sunday (11Jan09), the newspaper has confirmed.
Bono, who is renowned for campaigning against third-world debt and raising awareness of the Aids crisis in Africa, will also record an accompanying podcast.
The column will not be a regular feature and will only appear occasionally, according to the New York Times editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal.
He says, "(Bono) is an extraordinary man who thinks deeply about his art and the major issues confronting the world."
