WOOD’S ART THERAPY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:54 pm

ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD finds painting a more therapeutic way to deal with his problems than rehab.
The legendary guitarist walked out on his 23-year marriage to Jo Wood last summer (08) after his affair with 20-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova was revealed in the press.
He subsequently underwent a stint in a rehabilitation centre in England in an attempt to kick his addiction to alcohol.
And Wood, who has forged a successful sideline as an artist, is adamant that spending his time working on a new canvas is much more beneficial than professional treatment.
He says, "Unlike music, it’s a solo effort, there’s no one else to blame.
Then again, no one else gets the satisfaction out of it. There’s no kind of therapy like what you get from starting and seeing a picture through. Over the years you’re never quite satisfied and, like music, you’re always learning and trying out new techniques."

The former Culture Club frontman, real name George O’Dowd, is facing a possible jail term when he is sentenced next week (beg12Jan09) after he was found guilty of chaining a male escort to his bed at his London home in 2007.
O’Dowd has let his friend Antony Marnoch - freed on $15,300 (£10,000) while he awaits trial for the alleged rape of a 12-year-old-boy in a public toilet use his residence as a bail address.
Marnoch - who has DJed at private parties for stars including Madonna and Prince - has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault and has been staying with O’Dowd since 12 December (08).

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:54 am

KANYE WEST has set himself a new career goal - to pose nude and break "every rule" of American culture.
The Stronger hitmaker is keen to shed his clothes for a photoshoot - but not until he’s had the chance to work out and get into shape.
And, although West knows the nudity will catapult him back into the headlines, he insists he’ll be prepared for the controversy - because he wants to challenge people’s perceptions of what is and isn’t acceptable in today’s society.
He says, "I definitely feel, like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture." In a new Vibe magazine interview, West insists his striptease would make big headlines, whereas such a controversial statement by certain other stars, like Bjork, would go largely unnoticed.
He explains, "If she wanted to pose naked, you’d (public and media) be like, ‘Oh, that’s Bjork.’ But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it.

"(It) doesn’t stop me feeling sad but I’ve been getting paid to tour all over the world for years, as a result of those over-priced CD things. It has to come to an end at some point".
