JACKSON MOVES BACK TO CALIFORNIA

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:33 pm

MICHAEL JACKSON has leased a new Bel-Air mansion for $100,000 (GBP71,400)-a-month after deciding to return to California life for the first time since his child molestation trial in 2005.
The pop superstar set up homes in Las Vegas and the Middle East following the lengthy court case and vowed never to return to his Neverland Ranch estate in Santa Barbara, California after it was raided by police, looking for clues to incriminate the singer.
He was acquitted of all charges against him in June, 2005 - and fled the state.
But now he’s moving back because he wants to be closer to "where all the action is", according to his manager Tohme.
The Los Angeles Times newspaper reports the gated estate was one of the most expensive houses listed for sale in the county in 2008. It was withdrawn from the market after Jackson signed a year’s lease.
Jackson reportedly surrendered the title of his sprawling 120-acre Neverland estate to the Sycamore Valley Ranch Co., a joint venture between Jackson and an affiliate of Colony Capital LLC, last year.

50 CENT’S GENERAL MOTORS TRUCK PLANS CANCELLED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:33 pm

Rap mogul 50 CENT has been hit with yet another setback - the sports truck he launched at the New York International Auto Show last year (08) has been taken off the production line.
The In Da Club hitmaker had teamed up with vehicle manufacturers at troubled American car giants General Motors to put his own Pontiac G8 on the market but his road dreams have been dashed.
The vehicle was scheduled to hit stores in North America in 2010, but GM bosses have announced they’ll no longer be producing the truck due to the downturn in the global economy.
Pontiac representative Jim Hopson claimed the cancellation was part of the firm’s restructuring plan and long-term "vision for Pontiac".
The news comes just days after 50 Cent’s reality show, 50 Cent: The Money and the Power, was dropped by MTV.

BULLOCK PLAYS MOTHER AFTER STEPDAUGHTER’S MUM IS JAILED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

SANDRA BULLOCK is playing full-time mother to her five-year-old stepdaughter SUNNY, because her husband JESSE JAMES’ ex-wife is behind bars.
Porn star Janine Lindemulder, Sunny’s birth mother, has been sentenced to serve six months in federal prison after she was found guilty of failing to pay more than $200,000 (GBP133,333) in income tax.
And, when she is released, she must spend a further spell living in a residential community corrections centre.
Celebrity mechanic James has been handed full custody of Sunny while Lindemulder is in prison, and could appeal to become her permanent full-time carer.
Sources tell the National Enquirer Bullock is desperate to be a mum, and she’s thrilled to get the chance to try motherhood with Sunny, who was born after James and Lindemulder split, and he began dating the actress.
The insider says, "This is a dream come true for Sandra, but it’s Janine’s worst nightmare.
"Janine is worried that, while she’s in prison, Jesse will file another motion with the court to gain permanent full custody.
"Sandra loves Sunny like her own flesh and blood, and will completely support Jesse if he chooses to fight for full custody."

FLYNT SUES NEPHEWS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:27 pm

Hustler magazine boss LARRY FLYNT is suing his nephews for using the family name to start a new porn enterprise - without his permission.
The publisher fears Jimmy Flynt II and Dustin Flynt will produce "inferior product" that will tarnish his name as they embark on their own porn film venture.
Flynt tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "To come into the adult entertainment business and use my name not only confuses people who buy my products… it could also hurt my name." But the brothers insist "it’s our turn to be successful in this business." Before branching out on their own the Flynt brothers worked for their uncle for more than a decade. Larry Flynt fired them for being unproductive and claims he gave each of them a generous severance package.
Flynt alleges they used the cash to start a competitive company.
The Hustler boss admits he has seen his nephews’ first films and was unimpressed.

GETTY ADDRESSES FIRING REPORTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:24 pm

Actor BALTHAZAR GETTY has dismissed reports he is facing the axe from hit TV show BROTHERS & SISTERS, insisting he and his castmates are still like a real family.
Rumours suggesting Getty will be fired from the show over his romance with British actress Sienna Miller refuse to go away, with some insiders claiming he has alienated himself from his castmates after cheating on his wife Rosetta.
But Getty tells America’s TV Guide that’s simply not the case.
He states, "There were all these stories that the set was divided… but we’re family. You have ups and downs, but you stay together and love each other without judgment." But the actor isn’t ruling out the fact his 2008 tabloid scandal may have put him in the firing line: "I’d like to stay on the show and finish out my contract at the very least.
"At the end of the day, if they make that decision (to fire me), that’s fine, too. It’s not my last stop on the train."

NAVEEN ANDREWS WINS FULL CUSTODY OF HIS SON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:24 pm

LOST star NAVEEN ANDREWS has won custody of his three-year-old son after the boy’s mother allegedly broke court rules and left Los Angeles County with him.
Andrews also told the court on Wednesday (07Jan09) that Elena Eustache, the mother of little Naveen Joshua, illegally kept his son from him.
The actor and his ex had joint custody of the boy, but the order has been modified and now Andrews has sole physical and legal custody of his son, pending a full hearing in February (09).
The star’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, asked the judge to order Eustache to undergo psychiatric testing after she told the court she believed Andrews’ actress girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, was a witch.
Little Naveen Joshua left the courthouse in Los Angeles with Hershey as Eustache sat on the court steps sobbing, according to TMZ.com.
She told the website, "I can’t believe celebrities and their money. They always get what they want." Under the new custody order, Andrews’ son can accompany his father to Hawaii, where the actor films Lost.

Former lovers WOODY ALLEN and MIA FARROW have put aside a lengthy feud to mourn the death of the actress’s adopted daughter LARK, according to reports.

The National Enquirer claims Allen reached out with a phone call to share his grief.
A source tells the tabloid, "Woody called Mia as soon as he got the news that Lark had died. It’s been nearly two decades since the two exchanged words, but Lark’s death was a way for Woody to try and put the pain of the past behind them.
"Woody was in tears when he reached Mia. All he could say was, ‘I’m so sorry, this is just so terribly sad.’" The insider claims Farrow also spoke with Soon-Yi and is now considering repairing her relationship with the pair: "She had vowed never to forgive Woody or Soon-Yi, but losing Lark rocked Mia’s world. JONES APPEALS FOR US CULTURAL AMBASSADOR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

Music legend QUINCY JONES is urging U.S. President-elect BARACK OBAMA to create a ministry of culture, insisting it’s embarrassing the government has no ambassador for the arts.
The producer claims the U.S. and Germany are the only countries with no culture minister, which he regards as ridiculous, considering America’s contribution to popular music, movies, television and theatre around the globe.
Jones, who has worked with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and Donna Summer, among others, says, "Every country on the planet is playing American music. And we don’t have a ministry of culture." (IG/WNVCAR/KL) WENN - SIXTH - HOLLYWOOD, SHOWBIZ & PEOPLE NEWS - 07 JANUARY 2009

"They’re essentially living separate lives.

ALLEN SLAMS ‘CHEAP’ RECORD LABEL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 pm

British pop star LILY ALLEN has hit out at her record label for failing to make her trips abroad luxurious enough.
The Smile singer claims she only made $72,500 (£50,000) from her debut album, 2006’s All right, Still, despite the LP going on to sell nearly 2 million copies worldwide.
And Allen claims she is forced to stay in substandard accommodation while she is abroad promoting her music, because executives at EMI Records refuse to pay for her to stay in expensive hotels.
She says, "I got £50,000 for my first album and I sold a lot of records.
"Twenty years ago, I’d have been booked in at the Ritz with five grams of cocaine on my table and 10 bunches of flowers. Some new clothes. A chauffeur on 24-hour call. Now I’m lucky to get an Oyster card (London public transport travel ticket).
"I ask for a hotel in Paris and I get a two-star place in the eighth arrondissement on my own. I’m like ‘Do you want me to get raped and killed?’ I’m not being snobby. But if I have to go away for work, why can’t it be nice for me when it’s making them money?"

HUDSON HIT HATHAWAY FOR REAL ON BRIDE WARS SET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 pm

KATE HUDSON left onscreen rival ANNE HATHAWAY nursing a bruised head when a fight scene in new movie BRIDE WARS went wrong.
The pair play pals who fall out when they both plan to marry on the same day.
The actresses both insist rumours of an onset bust-up are untrue - but they admit one slapping scene took a real twist and left Hathaway cradling an ice-pack.
Hathaway tells People magazine, "Did you notice Kate’s enormous wedding ring in the movie? Imagine, surrounded in a cloud of tulle, Kate Hudson’s hand with the 9.000 carat diamond coming out and smacking you across the face and staying in character." Red-faced Hudson adds, "It was not intentional. I hit her and I went, ‘Oh God’, and she’s like, ‘No, I’m fine, keep going.’ "And then I saw Annie sitting in a chair with an ice pack!"
