JOHN TRAVOLTA and KELLY PRESTON’s teenage son JETT has died.
The 16 year old passed away in the Bahamas on Friday (02Jan08), according to TMZ.com.
Jett Travolta suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, according to family attorney Michael Ossi. He died at the scene.
Jett, who had a history of seizures, was the eldest of Travolta’s two children. The actor and his wife also have a daughter, called Ella.

2009 is already looking to be a great year for actress HEATHER LOCKLEAR - she has had her driving under the influence case dismissed.
The former Melrose Place star has pleaded no contest to reckless driving to avoid a trial. She has been sentenced to three years on informal probation.
Locklear will also attend a 12-hour drug education program and pay a $700 (£466) fine, as part of the conditions surrounding her sentencing, according to TMZ.com The actress was arrested in September (08) after a tabloid journalist called police to report Locklear was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.
Locklear did not attend Friday’s (02Jan08) sentencing hearing in Santa Barbara, California.
And there’s more good news for the actress - she’s in talks to return to Melrose Place for a remake of the hit soap. Reports suggest she’s the only star producers have called to return.

Actor DANIEL CRAIG is adamant he won’t have a mid-life crisis now he has turned 40 - because playing the notorious superspy JAMES BOND lets him live out his fantasies.
The British actor, who has played the 007 role in two hit movies, worried that the milestone birthday would force him to try and re-capture his lost youth.
But the heartthrob insists he has managed to stave off an identity crisis for now - and thanks his suave secret agent role for keeping him sane.
He says, "I hope I’m not going to have a mid-life crisis.
"I mean, I’m having a mid-life crisis as they go - I’m driving around in an Aston Martin and wearing sharp suits and sort of going around with beautiful girls. I’m acting my mid-life crisis out on movies."

KATE WINSLET became so emotional filming scenes for her new movie REVOLUTIONARY ROAD that she threw up.
The actress stars as a depressed housewife alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie, about a young couple living with their two children in a Connecticut suburb in the 1950s.
And a scene in which Winslet’s character phones her children before taking a life-changing step was so difficult to shoot for the mother-of-two that she was physically sick.
She tells British Elle magazine, "I just kept thinking, ‘She’s a mother to a girl and boy almost identical ages to my own.’ It got to me. There was only so much my body could take from all that churned up emotion and I threw up."

Hollywood actress KATE WINSLET experienced love at first sight the day she set eyes on husband SAM MENDES.
The Heavenly Creatures star met Mendes in 2001, shortly after the break-up of her first marriage to Jim Threapleton, the father of her daughter Mia, eight.
And Winslet admits she was instantly blown away when she first met the acclaimed filmmaker at a lunch meeting - and was immediately convinced they were destined to be together.
She tells U.K. magazine Elle, "It was the last thing I expected, but it really was love at first night. I woke up in the middle of the night after we’d met and I had this feeling in my stomach. I just knew what it was. I didn’t want to stop being with him.
"I know categorically I’m married to the right man. I feel understood by him, completely known. And I get the enormity of what I’m saying, which is why I’m so grateful."

Oscar winner JAVIER BARDEM has Lady Luck on his side - he fell into acting after film bosses spotted him as he escorted his sister to an audition.
The Spanish heartthrob, who scored a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his turn as a killer in No Country For Old Men, was determined to become a painter - but gave up his artistic dreams to join the underage Spanish national rugby team.
But it wasn’t until his actress sibling Monica dragged him to an audition that his career path was formed - when he caught the eye of filmmakers while waiting in the lobby.
He tells Red magazine, "I didn’t have any desire to act. My sister was an actress - she gave it up to have a family - and she asked me to come with her to an audition.
"I went along, and the filmmakers said to her, ‘Who’s that guy you’re with? Can we see him?’ "I didn’t want to, but I said, ‘Okay’. That’s how I got started, because of my sister." And Bardem is glad he accompanied his sister that day - because it’s so hard for actors to get their big break.
He adds, "The profession is so f**king hard. People read about the actors who work, but that’s only five per cent of them. I’m lucky I went with my sister that day, that’s for sure."

Pop star ANASTACIA finds dealing with life as a celebrity harder than her recent battle with breast cancer - because she has "never loved" fame.
The singer was diagnosed with the deadly illness in 2003 and endured surgery and radiotherapy on the path to recovery.
But the 40-year-old is adamant that life in the public eye is much harder to cope with than her brush with cancer.
She says, "The C word is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And I’m not talking about cancer, I’m talking about my career. It can be so hard being famous. Veteran journalist DAVID FROST has called FROST/NIXON ‘fiction’ because movie chiefs changed some of the key historical facts for entertainment value.
The new Ron Howard-directed film is based on a series of interviews former U.S. President Richard Nixon gave to British TV host Frost in 1977 in which he admitted he may have broken the law in the Watergate scandal.
But Frost was not involved in the new project, which is based on the hit play by Peter Morgan, and fears the movie is telling an altered version of the real story to keep cinema audiences happy He says, "I voluntarily gave up my rights to editorial control of it. I’m not complaining but it does mean that 10 to 15 per cent of the film is fiction.
"I wasn’t just a talkshow host before (Richard Nixon). I’d done British prime ministers - Harold Wilson, Ted Heath - all the U.S. presidential candidates, Robert Kennedy, Ronald Reagan. I think Peter (Morgan) did it this way to make me out to be the underdog - more a showman than a journalist." Nixon was forced to resign his presidency in 1974 following a series of scandals which rocked the White House and nearly ended in his impeachment.

Rockers STATUS QUO have been named the hardest working band in the U.K. - after notching up the most arena concerts in 2008.
The Rockin’ All Over The World hitmakers performed for more than 300,000 fans during 35 performances across the U.K.
Boyband Take That were close behind after playing 34 major gigs as part of their successful comeback.
The Kaiser Chiefs, girlband Sugababes, and the temporarily reformed Spice Girls completed the top five hardest working bands, according to the Performing Right Society (PRS).

Goldstein and Moore rekindled their romance after the DJ was involved in a plane crash tragedy in September (08), which left four people dead.

JONAS BROTHERS star JOE JONAS and his ex, TAYLOR SWIFT, added to the big chill in New York on New Year’s Eve (31Dec08) when they found themselves on the same stage just before midnight.

A representative for SOULJA BOY has confirmed reports the rapper was the victim of assault earlier this week (begs29Dec08).
Unconfirmed reports alleged the star - real name DeAndre Ramone Way - and several of his friends were robbed at gunpoint after six men invaded his Georgia home on Tuesday (30Dec08).
Speculation heightened on Wednesday (31Dec08) after two masked men posted a video, in which they took responsibility for the crime, online. They also boasted of stalking the star at a release party for his new album iSouljaBoyTellem before following him home.
In the two-minute video, the duo blasted reports the hip-hop star was held-up by six attackers, armed with pistols and AK-47s, claiming they burgled the star with a single weapon between them.
A spokesperson for Soulja Boy has now confirmed that "a serious situation" did occur.
The representative refused to provide further details.

BEYONCE KNOWLES has reportedly upset fellow pop star JANET JACKSON - by implying that her family were not from a high-class background.
Knowles appeared to put down the Jackson family in a recent interview with Elle magazine after stating, "I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons - but I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation." U.S. TV titan OPRAH WINFREY has become a hit with students in Atlanta, Georgia - after she donated $365,000 (£243,000) to a school for low-income kids.
The media mogul offered the staggering amount to ensure the city’s The Ron Clark Academy has sufficient funding to continue providing education to 80 students.
Teachers at the school - which costs $14,000 (£9,000)-a-year per pupil frequently combine rapping, drumming and dance in their lessons to encourage kids from low-to-middle income families to learn.
Principal Ron Clark set up the school from royalties from his best-selling book The Essential 55, and relies on donations to keep the academy open.
And he is stunned by Winfrey’s generosity.
He says, "We teach school all day and fundraise at night. To have an unsolicited gift come like that is incredible." In a letter sent with the cheque, Winfrey praised Clark for the "profound difference you’re making with your passion for teaching."
