BARTON RELISHES INDIAN EXPERIENCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 7:42 pm

Actress MISCHA BARTON is embracing Eastern culture as she films a new movie in India - and has even learnt to play the sitar.
The O.C
. star will appear alongside Martin Sheen in forthcoming movie Bhopal: Prayer for Rain, based upon a real-life industrial disaster.
And she is ingratiating herself with locals during filming - by experiencing new religions and enjoying traditional fare.
Barton writes on her website, "I’ve been having an amazing spiritual exploration visiting Hindu temples and learning about Buddhism, both beautiful religions
. Hyderabad where we’re filming is a real inspiration in the fact that Christians, Muslims and Hindus all get along so harmoniously.
"I must admit I used to make fun of people who were all into yoga and chai tea thinking it was another ridiculous health fad
. But now I’m that person! First of all Masala Chai tea, the traditional way with milk and sugar is delicious, and this is coming from a brit who only likes my breakfast tea!" But the actress is most pleased that she is picking up a new musical instrument.
She adds, "I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it’s coming along real slow as apparently it’s not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here, I guess it’s not late 60’s with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around unfortunately!!!!"

BLANCHETT ‘OBSERVES’ SHOWBIZ WORLD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 7:39 pm

CATE BLANCHETT shuns the Hollywood lifestyle - because her friends and family are so far removed from the whirlwind of fame that surrounds her.
The Lord Of The Rings actress married playwright and screenwriter Andrew Upton in 1997 and the couple has three sons together.
And it is her stable family life Blanchett credits with her down-to-earth outlook on fame.
She tells America’s Vanity Fair magazine, "I don’t exist in that world. I observe it, but there’s so much else to be thinking about.
"Maybe it’s because I’m with someone who’s not with me because of that; I’m not a trophy. He likes the vessel, but he also wants to make sure the vessel is full.
"The world of film can be so noisy, but the other aspects of my life are actually the noisiest parts of my life. My best friends are a social worker and a visual artist."

BLANCHETT’S HUSBAND PUTS HER OFF PLASTIC SURGERY

The 39-year-old mum-of-three admits she’s feeling her age after giving birth to son Ignatius in April (08).
But she insists she wouldn’t trade her union with her writer/director husband Andrew Upton to keep her good looks.
She tells America’s Vanity Fair magazine, "I haven’t done anything, but who knows. Andrew said he’d divorce me if I did anything…
When you’ve had children, your body changes; there’s history to it. I like the evolution of that history; I’m fortunate to be with somebody who likes the evolution of that history." But Upton hasn’t fully put Blanchett off the idea: "I’m not a spokesperson against the world of injectables. If you grow up in an environment where your mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there? But I didn’t grow up in that world."

LONGORIA PARKER’S HAPPY AS A HOUSEWIFE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 7:36 pm

Actress EVA LONGORIA PARKER loves being a wife - but has to work hard on her marriage to make it stronger.

For us, just juggling schedules is the biggest obstacle we have, and we don’t even really have a problem with that either." The diminutive actress reveals she is more of a traditional wife than her character in the hit show - and always makes sure her husband is well looked after.
She adds, "I love having dinner ready and making sure his clothes are ironed and that he’s packed and ready when he goes on road trips. I’m the gardener (in our relationship). I definitely nurture. (Tony) is the flower. But there are times when Tony takes care of me - in an emotional sense, like, okay, let me take the reins on this one. But I love to take care of him. I’m really a very ’50s housewife." But even though the pair are happily settled, Longoria Parker admits they’re still working on building their relationship: "I take it day by day. Tony and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time."

RUSSELL’S FUN TIME WITH SANDLER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 7:36 pm

KERI RUSSELL was hand picked to star in BEDTIME STORIES by ADAM SANDLER because he wanted a family-friendly film his young daughter could watch.
The actress impressed Sandler’s wife Jackie with her performance in Waitress and was offered a part in the Disney movie, which also stars Courtney Cox.
And Russell accepted the role - because she was convinced working with Sandler would be a fun experience and one she could look back on with joy.
She tells USA Today, "I was really pregnant when he called to ask me to do it. And then there was the writers’ strike, so they weren’t moving forward with anything. His wife saw Waitress and she said she liked it and that (I) should be in one of his movies.
"He called me and said, ‘Hey, I have a kid and I hear you’re having a kid and I want to make a movie my kid can see and you should do it with me.’ I’m not kidding. And I said OK.
"It seemed so fun, because I’d just done two movies where I had to be sad.
How much fun would it be to be laughing and silly with Adam Sandler?" And the experience didn’t fall short of what she expected: "This movie (I) was going along for the ride with Adam and trying not to laugh. You’re trying to hang on and ride the wave. "
