WINSLET GOT OVER WEIGHT ISSUES THANKS TO DICAPRIO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:48 pm

Actress KATE WINSLET has credited LEONARDO DiCAPRIO with helping her get over her weight issues - after he confronted her 10 years ago on the set of their film TITANIC.
The pair teamed up for the first time since the 1997 blockbuster for new movie Revolutionary Road.
Winslet is adamant DiCaprio’s pep talk on the set of the disaster movie helped her come to terms with her body issues.
But she admits she still struggles to deal with superstardom, more than a decade after the pair first teamed up.
Winslet says, "I’m still coming to terms with (fame) to be honest. I knew from when I was very, very young I wanted to be an actress. I certainly didn’t think it meant making films because to me that was something Judy Garland did.
"As a child, I was overweight and I was very chubby and I was always the wrong kid at the audition because my hair was wrong and the shoes didn’t fit. I did loose weight very sensibility when I was younger but those says are very much behind me." Turning to DiCaprio, she adds, "I remember you saying to me one day, ‘You’ve really got to let the whole fat girl thing go’. And that’s the truth, you’re right."

MILLS SUED BY FORMER NANNY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:45 pm

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’S ex-wife HEATHER MILLS is facing a court battle with her former nanny - following allegations she was made to go far beyond her duties as their daughter’s caretaker.
Sara Trumble resigned from her post as nanny to Beatrice - Mills’ daughter with McCartney - in September (08).
According to British tabloid the Sunday Mirror, Trumble claims Mills made her work as late as midnight, blow dry the ex-model’s hair at 7:30am and even give her naked spray tans.
The pair have 28 days to settle their differences or risk thrashing out the dispute in court since Trumble lodged a constructive dismissal claim with an employment tribunal last week (begs15Dec08).
A source tells the publication, "Sara and Heather started out as friends but it all went wrong after Heather’s divorce.
"Heather is concerned what Sara will say - she was in the heart of the family during the last days of her marriage to Sir Paul right up until after the divorce was finalised." Mills is worth an estimated $35 million (£24 million) following her lengthy divorce from ex-Beatle McCartney earlier this year (08).

JOHANSSON WANTS TO SHED SEX APPEAL FOR SCREEN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:45 pm

Hollywood star SCARLETT JOHANSSON hates her sex symbol status - and can’t wait to shed the image in later life for heavier roles.
The Lost In Translation beauty, 24, finds it hard to receive plaudits for her glamorous looks - preferring to concentrate on her acting credentials.
And Johansson, who recently wed Canadian heartthrob Ryan Reynolds, wants to ditch the image in favour of more substantial movie roles.
She tells British newspaper The Times, "I look forward to growing in the industry and ageing in the industry. A lot of actresses take their meatiest roles in their thirties and forties. And I’m looking forward to that.
"I’m at a little bit of a funny age where I get that ’sexiest woman’ thing, and it feels like a label for right now. But maybe when I get older, it won’t be like that."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:45 pm

Thieves nabbed the actor’s Cadillac Escalade SUV earlier this month (Dec08), while the Yorkiepoo and Yorkshire Terrier - which Schneider planned to give to his children for Christmas - were in the back of the vehicle.
The car was later recovered without the dogs - prompting Schneider, who played heartthrob Bo Duke in the 1980s show, to plead for the dogs’ return on a Los Angeles radio show.
But in a holiday card sent to friends this week (begs22Dec08), the star lamented the loss, and declared he has no plans to buy replacements.
He wrote: "Sadly… no puppies came home. We all appreciate your letters of concern and good wishes."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:39 pm

Hip-hop mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has vowed to give $1 million (£686,000) to charity in exchange for the chance to redesign New York City’s famed New Year’s Eve ball.

WINEHOUSE ‘FEARS EARLY DEATH’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:48 pm

Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE is terrified she will join the "27 Club" - the tragic group of rock stars who died in their prime.
The Rehab hitmaker has fought a public battle against drink and drug addictions and last month (Nov08) spent time in hospital after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.
Now a former aide to the 25-year-old has lifted the lid on her fears insisting the singer is obsessed with her own mortality.
Alex Haines, Winehouse’s former personal assistant, also estimates the star spent up to $5,000 (£3,500) a week feeding her drug habit.
He tells Britain’s News of the World, "It was my job to look after her. But it was impossible. I thought she wouldn’t survive the year with all the drugs and self-harming. Cutting herself was her favourite pastime… She’d keep taking drugs until she passed out. I reckon she spent £3,500 a week on them." And Haines is adamant Winehouse has a fear she will die at the age of 27, joining other legendary rock stars including The Doors frontman Jim Morrison, the Rolling Stones star Brian Jones, and Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain.
He adds: "She reckoned she would join the 27 Club of rock stars who died at that age. She told me, ‘I have a feeling I’m gonna die young’."

Beckham has appeared alongside Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles and Pink, as well as a host of international soccer stars, in the drinks company’s TV, magazine and billboard promotions.
And he is adamant the arrangement came to an end amicably - insisting he wants to focus on other commitments.
In a statement, Beckham says, "I have nothing but good memories of my association with Pepsi.
"I’ve played a gladiator, a cowboy, a surfer, and worked alongside Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as well as some of the biggest names in world football.

MICHAEL LOHAN’S THREAT TO RONSON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:42 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN’s dad MICHAEL has threatened to release a plethora of evidence in a bid to prove SAMANTHA RONSON is a bad influence on his famous daughter.
The Mean Girls star took to her MySpace blog earlier this week (begs22Dec08) to share her shock at finding out Michael had allegedly fathered a lovechild during his marriage to her mother.
She wrote: "I have gone through a lot in my past, and to be completely honest, I am still going through a lot right now. My father just let my family and I know that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana?? Either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks." But the elder Lohan is convinced the post was actually written by his daughter’s girlfriend Ronson - and he is now blaming the DJ for the actress’ stalled Hollywood career.
Michael tells TMZ.com, "What real work has Lindsay done since Sam? Maybe she should follow Britney (Spears) or Drew (Barrymore)’s paths and get rid of the darkness and come into the light." The star’s enraged father has even warned Ronson he will spark a media war if another inflammatory post is made about him on his daughter’s webpage.
He adds, "If one more blog or statement is made people will know the entire truth. I will release e-mails, texts, depositions and audio tapes that will prove everything I have been saying all along. If Sam wants to play, I am ready. But she better be ready too!"

BRADY’S FATHER DENIES BUNDCHEN ENGAGEMENT REPORTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:42 pm

Supermodel GISELE BUNDCHEN is not preparing to wed her boyfriend TOM BRADY, according to the sport star’s father.
The Brazilian beauty reportedly got engaged to Brady following his proposal on a private jet that took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and landed in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday (24Dec08).
Brady packed the plane with four dozen white roses and champagne for the joyous event, reportedly witnessed by Bundchen’s parents who were also onboard, according to TMZ.com.
But Brady’s father, also called Tom, has blasted the report - insisting he hasn’t been told of any engagement.
He tells America’s The Boston Globe newspaper, "(Engagement story is) rumour, rumour, rumour… We don’t know a thing about it. Nobody told me. We talked to him and there’s nothing to say." Bundchen’s twin sister also dismissed the report, telling journalists the story is "not true".
A representative for Brady’s football team, the New England Patriots, tells People.com, "I heard the report that he (proposed) on a plane, but I don’t think it’s true.
"Tom keeps his private life private." The couple has been dating since Brady split from actress Bridget Moynahan in 2006, with whom he shares a 16-month-old son.

JENKINS BOOED BY ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUPS AT SALE OPENING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:39 pm

Classical singer KATHERINE JENKINS came under fire from animal rights activists as she opened the winter sale at luxury London department store Harrods because the retailer sells fur.
The Welsh star, 28, was booed as she arrived at the famous store in London’s Knightsbridge on Saturday (27Dec08) to officially open the post-Christmas sales.
Anti-animal cruelty advocates took to the street outside and hurled abuse at Jenkins as she stepped down from a horse-drawn carriage to be met by the store’s owner Mohamed Al Fayed.
Campaigners picketed the roadside and shouted "Shame on Katherine" as the star was quickly ushered inside.
John Wilson, from the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade, told the BBC, "We are gathered here today because of our disgust at Ms. Jenkins who professes to be against animal cruelty and the fur trade." However, Jenkins - who posed with puppies at the event - insists she sticks by her anti-cruelty views: "Personally I do not eat meat or wear fur, but people are entitled to their opinions." Harrods is a well-known target of animal rights groups as it is reportedly the only remaining U.K. department store to sell goods made from fur.
Earlier this year (08), singer Leona Lewis turned down $1.5 million (£1 million) from the luxury London retailer to open its summer sale, insisting she didn’t want to be associated with stores which continued to stock fur.
