LEDGER’S DEATH TOPS NEWS POLL

HEATH LEDGER’s death has topped a poll of the most important showbiz events of 2008.
The Dark Knight star’s death from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January (08) came first in a survey of U.S. newspaper and broadcast editors.
The end of the Hollywood writers’ strike in February (08) came second in the vote.
