PARFITT: ‘ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS SOCKS’
New dad RICK PARFITT is so delighted with his baby twins that all he wants for Christmas is socks.
The Status Quo star insists he’s always been a fan of the unimaginative gift which most men hate to find under the tree.
He says, "I always get socks and I look forward to getting them." And bandmate Francis Rossi agrees: "Socks are an ideal gift. It’s funny because people ridicule you but socks are perfect. You know, ‘Thanks, that’s sorted for another year.’ It saves you buying them yourself." And Parfitt, whose wife Lyndsay gave birth to tots Lily and Tommy in May (08), admits this Christmas is going to be extra special for him: "Being a kid really is what Christmas is about, and I’ve got kids again now so how great is that? I’m really looking forward to it this year."
