ROAD HONOUR FOR ELTON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:48 pm

Officials in SIR ELTON JOHN’s home town want to name a road after him - because they were so impressed with his concerts in Las Vegas.
The Rocket Man played a series of high-profile shows in the gambling Mecca earlier this year (08).
Some staff on Harrow council in north London saw the gigs - and decided it was time to honour their local hero with his own street.
Susan Hill, the council’s deputy leader, says, "I saw Sir Elton in Las Vegas earlier this year and thought he was wonderful. He came from humble beginnings and it shows that if you have talent and drive you can become as famous as him." Officials are due to vote on the proposal next year (09).
