Porn star RON JEREMY was reportedly attacked with pepper spray at a Hollywood restaurant on Monday (22Dec08).
The actor was allegedly sprayed by an angry paparazzo while eating with friends at Mel’s Diner on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip.
According to TMZ.com, Jeremy was confronted by a snapper who then pulled out the pepper spray.
Nasim Saleh has been arrested for criminal use of tear gas, according to the report.

PENELOPE CRUZ wants her fans to register as bone marrow donors, after she met a young cancer sufferer during filming in London.
The Vanilla Sky star took a break from shooting movie-musical Nine to talk to eight-year-old Joe Cawse, from Kent, England.
And she was so inspired by the youngster’s courage, she has urged fans to help in the fight against cancer by signing up to donate their bone marrow.
Cruz says, "He’s a sunny and intelligent eight-year-old but is battling with leukaemia as I speak. One suitable donor could save his life.
"I was very surprised to discover there are two different ways to donate your bone marrow and the second way is a much easier, less invasive process than I had ever imagined. If only more people in the UK knew that there is a method of donating bone marrow that is simple and pain free." She adds: "I urge people, please, please register. One suitable donor could save Joe’s life."

THE X FACTOR winner ALEXANDRA BURKE has scored the coveted U.K. number one Christmas spot with her debut single HALLELUJAH.
Her cover of Leonard Cohen’s classic hit shifted 576,000 copies, to become the fastest selling single by a female solo artist.
The track beat Jeff Buckley’s version of the same song into second place and knocked 2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis off the top spot and into number three with her cover of Snow Patrol’s Run.
Beyonce’s If I Were A Boy and Peter Kay’s alter-ego Geraldine McQueen’s Once Upon A Christmas Song rounded out the top five.
Cohen’s original version of Hallelujah, written 20 years ago, also made it into the top 40 with a new entry at number 36.

British band THE DARKNESS are on the verge of a reunion after a U.S.
entrepreneur reportedly offered the group "a small fortune" to tour.
The group was catapulted to fame with their hit single I Believe In A Thing Called Love in 2003 - but were forced to split three years later when frontman Justin Hawkins was admitted into rehab to battle a drug addiction.
But now the organiser of the Dubai Desert Rocks festival has allegedly offered the group a massive paycheque in a bid to tempt the rockers into making a new LP and touring again.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, "The offer is tabled and being studied by everyone." Singer Hawkins now performs with the band Hot Leg, while his former bandmate and brother Dan Hawkins is the guitarist for Stone Gods.

Pop singer CHRISTINA MILIAN is "shocked" her ex-boyfriend NICK CANNON moved on to marry MARIAH CAREY - because the newlyweds seemed an unlikely pairing.
Carey and Cannon said their vows in a secret wedding ceremony in the Bahamas in April (08) after a whirlwind romance.
And Milian, who struggled through a bad break-up with Cannon in 2005, admits she was stunned to hear the news.
She tells Rap-Up magazine, "I definitely was shocked like everybody else.
"I was like, ‘Really?’ It just seemed like a weird match. But I was happy for him. I always feel like Nick works hard to get what he wants, whether that be women - that’s how he got me.

ROBERT PLANT has denied falling out with his former LED ZEPPELIN bandmates insisting there is no rift over his decision not to join them for a reunion world tour.
The singer reunited with his bandmates for a one-off gig in London in December 2007, but has opted out of a planned comeback tour, leaving the other rockers to search for a replacement vocalist.
Plant admits he couldn’t bring himself to go back to Led Zeppelin because he is working on such different music in his solo collaborations with Alison Krauss.
But the star insists he is still good friends with guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones.
He says, "I’m doing very well with Alison and I’m enjoying that. I still see Jimmy quite a lot and he’s very complimentary and supportive of what I’m doing.
But we are in different place now and you have to go on to do different things."

British pop star LILY ALLEN is having trouble finding a boyfriend - because she doesn’t "fancy" any famous men.
The Smile hitmaker is adamant she doesn’t want to date someone who isn’t famous, because she would worry her partner would sell their story to the press.
Allen, who split form Chemical Brothers DJ Ed Simons earlier this year (08), would prefer to date a suitor who is also in the public eye - but can’t find anyone suitable.
She says, "If I meet someone who is not part of the showbiz industry, I think, ‘Should I sleep with this person? British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is reportedly holding a bedside vigil for his mother as she recovers from a major heart operation.
The singer is said to have flown back to his native Britain from his home in Los Angeles to be with his mother Jan, 67, before she underwent heart bypass surgery at a private hospital in Cheshire, England on Sunday (21Dec08).
Jan is believed to be in "critical but stable" condition in an intensive care ward following the procedure.
And the former Take That star is praying for his mother’s quick recovery as he prepares to spend Christmas Day (25Dec08) in the hospital with her.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, "Like any patient who has undergone major heart surgery, Jan’s not out of the woods yet. She is in a critical but stable condition, but that’s normal for such a complex procedure.
"Jan was put in intensive care immediately after the operation, where she’ll be monitored extremely closely. She will almost certainly spend Christmas Day in hospital, but if all goes well she might be discharged by New Year. Robbie is desperate to make sure everything goes exactly to plan."

JENNIFER ANISTON and OWEN WILSON had to be extra cautious while filming new movie MARLEY & ME - because their canine co-star wreaked havoc on set.
The pair star alongside four-year-old American Labrador retriever Clyde in the film - and the animal’s trainer Mathilde De Cagny admits the dog caused chaos during the shoot.
She tells U.S. magazine OK!, "One time he was supposed to grab some pillows, and Owen comes in wanting to grab him, and Clyde whacked him in the face with the pillow.
"We also had a day when I got reprimanded: Clyde was in a scene with Owen and Jen, and he peed on Owen’s leg."

DOCTOR WHO star DAVID TENNANT is keen for the cult TV show to be turned into a musical - because he loves "a song and a dance." The Scottish actor is adamant the sci-fi programme would easily translate to the stage, but would prefer to keep a musical version on TV screens as it would be difficult to find the time for a long-running live production.
He says, "Doctor Who: The Musical has been mentioned. I would be up for it. I love a song and a dance. The thing about a musical is you have to commit for a year and a half and it’s eight times a week." Tennant was recently forced to pull out of his run in a London production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet due to a back injury.

British actor KENNETH BRANAGH has confirmed he is to direct new comic book movie THOR.
The star - more famous for his roles onstage - has completed negotiations with Marvel bosses to helm the film, due for release in 2010.
Branagh’s last big-screen directorial outing was 2007’s Sleuth, starring Sir Michael Caine and Jude Law.
And he can’t wait to take the challenge of directing a Hollywood blockbuster.
He says, "We’re getting the story and visual effects together and all of that is very exciting." Thor follows the tale of a disabled medical student whose alter ego is the Norse god.

GODFATHER star MARLON BRANDO reportedly tried to land a job as a daytime TV presenter shortly before his death in a bid to boost his bank balance.
According to the actor’s former assistant, Brando contemplated selling goods on U.S. home shopping channel QVC in 2000 - because he had only $9,000 (£6,000) to his name.
And the star was so desperate to work for QVC, he allegedly held discussions with a network executive just a year before his death.
In a new book, Brando’s aide Alice Marchak writes, "Marlon was serious about QVC. He had a meeting with a woman from the channel." Brando died of respiratory failure in 2004 at the age of 80.

PARIS HILTON is "devastated" after a burglar robbed her California mansion because the jewellery which was stolen is irreplaceable.
The intruder is believed to have forced his way through the front door of the property in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, on Friday (19Dec08) before ransacking the heiress’ bedroom and making off with an estimated $2 million (£1.3 million) worth of gems.
And although Hilton is grateful she wasn’t in the house at the time, she is heartbroken by the loss.
She tells Life & Style Weekly, "I am devastated. I cannot believe someone broke into my home.
"They took items that had such sentimental value that no one will ever be able to replace. I’m just thankful that I wasn’t there when it happened." Hilton’s mother Kathy has since reminded her daughter not to attach too much significance to material goods.
Kathy adds: "She (Paris) and I were talking about it and really, it is stuff.
I’m just happy that she’s okay… You can’t be possessed by your possessions.
Those are just things. And I’m happy that she’s okay."

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD director ROBERT MULLIGAN has died at the age of 83.
The moviemaker, who received an Oscar nomination for helming the 1962 drama, passed away at his Connecticut home on Friday (19Dec08) after suffering a heart attack.
Mulligan began his career working on live TV in New York in the early 1950s before graduating to movies in 1957 with Fear Strikes Out, the story of baseball pitcher Jimmy Piersall.
He went on to direct over 20 pictures including 1978’s Bloodbrothers and 1991’s The Man in the Moon, the film debut of Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon.

British singer LEONA LEWIS is set to add a touch of Hollywood to her next music video - GOSSIP GIRL hunk CHACE CRAWFORD will star in the promo.
The actor will make a guest appearance in Lewis’ latest short, I Will Be, which she began filming in New York on Thursday (18Dec08).
A source tells People.com "He has speaking lines in the video as well as just appearing in it. It will be the most anticipated video in January.
"Chace went to London a couple months ago for meetings and to promote Gossip Girl. He went to a party and ended up meeting Leona." The pair reportedly "hit it off and talk every once in a while and have become fast friends." The source adds, "A couple weeks ago Leona called Chace and asked if he would be in her next video. He obviously said yes."

Rocker FISH is set to retire from music after doctors found an irregular growth of cells in his throat.
The Scottish singer - real name Derek Dick - shot to fame in the 1981 as the frontman of British group Marillion, which he left to pursue a solo career in 1988.
But the star is now preparing to hang up his microphone after a recent biopsy showed an "irregular cell growth" in his throat.
He says, "I had an examination. As soon as I heard the phrase ‘irregular cell growth’ my mind went cold. I knew what it meant.
"In all honesty, I am 50 years old, I smoke, drink, have a ‘colourful’ history, have sung at nearly 1,700 gigs over 27 years and have conducted three times as many interviews. It’s like standing on the M1 (a highway) and expecting not to be hit by a car." But the star insists the diagnosis won’t keep him from taking advantage of his retirement.
He adds: "My spirits are high. There are no set plans for any musical activity. Either way I intend to work on that elusive novel and start studying and writing screenplays."

BACKSTREET BOYS star BRIAN LITTRELL’s young son has been diagnosed with a rare form of heart disease.
The singer and his wife, Leighanne, rushed six-year-old Baylee to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday (15Dec08) after he showed symptoms common to strep throat and hand, foot and mouth disease.
Doctors proceeded to conduct various biopsies and blood tests on the youngster before diagnosing him with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease.
Baylee was released from medical care on Saturday (20Dec08) but he will continue to be monitored by specialists.
In a post on his website, Littrell writes: "Kawasaki Disease causes inflammation in the coronary arteries as well as the walls of the small and medium sized arteries throughout the body.
"Unfortunately, Baylee’s coronary arteries were affected. He received an IVIG, which is a treatment to bring down the inflammation in his coronary arteries. Baylee will be closely monitored for the next six to weeks by a paediatric cardiologist to see if the treatment was effective." The star also thanked hospital staff and fans for their support, adding: "We are humbled by the love and compassion that people have for our son all over the world, thank you!"

Actor ZAC EFRON made Christmas come early for some young patients at a Los Angeles hospital - he delighted children by visiting their ward with some festive gifts.
The High School Musical star went along to the Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA on Friday (19Dec08) to play Santa Claus by giving away $10,000 (£6,666) worth of toys.
The kids were ecstatic at their surprise guest, who toured the wards for two hours, giving out presents including art sets, board games and High School Musical products, signing autographs and posing for pictures with staff.
A source tells Usmagazine.com, "He really spent time bonding with each of the children and their families. The kids were smitten and beaming from ear to ear.
Some of the kids couldn’t even speak, but they had the widest grins and would sit as close to him as possible.
"Zac was super gracious and could not have been more kind and truly happy to be there."
