Rapper SCARFACE has an unlikely new hobby - he’s addicted to golf.
The star, real name Brad Jordan, fell in love with the genteel game after he joined his teenage daughter for a round one afternoon.
And he was so humiliated after losing to her, he vowed to perfect his swing and get some revenge.
He tells MTV.com, "My daughter played golf. She was taking golf lessons. I bought her some clubs, and I bought me some clubs. I got out there thinking it was all fun and games, and my daughter kicked my ass.
"Can you imagine getting beat by your 14-year-old daughter? That kinda hurt my pride. So I’m trying to get good so I can play my daughter again… Messing with wanting to hit the ball straighter and even straighter and wanting to chip the ball and place the ball got me addicted.
"So when I wake up in the morning, I’m going to hit some balls. I play every day. Every single day. I look forward to Sunday. That’s my favourite day to play, because I play with some old cats that are my buddies." And, although he has only been swinging clubs for a year, Scarface jokes that he’d love to test himself against his hero Tiger Woods.
He adds: "Vijay Singh would kick my ass. Tiger Woods, on the other hand, I might kick Tiger’s ass. Nah. God sent Tiger Woods here to play golf for real."

Rockers STATUS QUO are competing for Britain’s Christmas number one single with the "uncoolest" song of their 40-year career.
The Rockin’ All Over The World hitmakers released their first festive tune, It’s Christmas Time, on Monday (08Dec08) - and they’re not kidding themselves about the quality of the holiday favourite.
Frontman Francis Rossi tells WENN, “The song is obscenely commercial - it’s perfect for Christmas. If you are worried about being cool, don’t bother. It has to have every cliche in the book.” But the track is well out of contention in the race for the coveted U.K.
Christmas number one - the winner of Saturday night’s (13Dec08) TV talent show X Factor is the clear favourite to land the festive chart-topper with a new version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

KISS star GENE SIMMONS has launched a scathing attack on rock stars who turn up late to their own gigs - as tardiness is disrespectful to the fans.
The bassist is adamant his band always takes to the stage on time, to make sure their supporters are not kept waiting.
And Simmons admits he can’t stand arrogant musicians who arrive late.
He tells Billboard.com, "I don’t care if you’re Axl Rose, forgot to tie your shoelaces or your father molested you when you were three - you’re a b**ch if you don’t show up onstage when it says 9 o’clock.
"You need to have the integrity and self-respect to respect the promoter who paid you the money in advance, the hall and the people who makes all our lives possible."

The members of newly reformed British band BLUR have denied they only scheduled a reunion tour to boost their bank balances.
The Britpop pioneers announced their return on Tuesday (09Dec08) following a six-year hiatus that began when guitarist Graham Coxon walked out on the band while recording the album Think Tank.
The rockers will play a massive outdoor gig in London’s Hyde Park in July (09), and are also rumoured to be headlining music festival Glastonbury and playing a series of warm-up gigs over the summer (09).
But the Parklife hitmakers are adamant they are not reforming purely for financial gain.
Guitarist Coxon tells British magazine NME, "We all know our wells have not run dry so it’s no act of desperation." And frontman Damon Albarn adds, "It’s something we’ve been thinking about for a while and we’re coming back into focus because Graham and I have reconciled our differences which drove the band apart."

Former TLC singer T-BOZ is the latest star to reportedly face eviction from her home.
The $530,000 (GBP355,705) Georgia property owned by the R&B star - real name Tionne Watkins-Rolison - is scheduled to go up for auction in January (09).
According to public records obtained by Web site TMZ.com, the 38-year-old has defaulted on the original principal of her mortgage, and the five-bedroom house is now being claimed by the state.
Singer Wyclef Jean, American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino and former child star Jodie Sweetin are among the list of celebrities whose homes have faced foreclosure in recent weeks.
A spokesperson for Watkins-Rolison had not yet issued comment as WENN went to press.

LIZA MINNELLI has cancelled a performance of her critically-acclaimed Broadway show "due to health reasons and doctor’s orders," according to a spokesperson for the star.
The legendary entertainer, 62, scrapped Wednesday’s (10Dec08) show - one week after making her debut with Liza’s at the Palace.
The production marks her return to Broadway after nearly six years - she was last seen on the New York stage in a 2002 production titled Liza’s Back! Show producer John Scher says, "This past opening week has been a marathon run for Liza - which unfortunately has led her to dehydration and her doctor has insisted she get some extra rest.
"Liza will return for the show’s next scheduled performance on Friday, Dec 12th." The production was originally scheduled to run until 14 December (08) but was recently extended through 28 December (08) due to high demand.
Ticket holders for the cancelled show can exchange tickets for any future scheduled performance

JENNIFER ANISTON shows she still looks fabulous on the brink of 40, by stripping naked for the front cover of U.S. men’s magazine GQ.
The former Friends star poses nude except for a striped necktie covering her breasts in a photoshoot for the publication’s January issue (09) - which falls just a month before her 40th birthday on 11 February (09).
And she looks at least a decade younger in the candid shots - accompanied by an interview in which she bares all about her split with ex-husband Brad Pitt and her romance with singer John Mayer.
She says of Mayer, who she has dated on/off for the past year, "Honestly, I did not know much about him before I met him. I’d heard… you know, uh Your Body - that song. But what I can say is that I had no idea what an extraordinary musician he is. And it’s just great to sit and be witness to that. It’s kind of like, Whoa!" But she insists: "I am not having his baby. Pop star AVRIL LAVIGNE has reportedly fired her management company in a bid to revive her flagging career.
The Canadian singer’s last album, 2007’s The Best Damn Thing, sold more than 5.4 million copies worldwide, failing to live up to the eight million sales of her previous LP, 2004’s Under My Skin.
Her recent tour to promote The Best Damn Thing was also hit by rumours of low ticket sales.
And now Lavigne is said to have dismissed her longtime manager, Terry McBride of Nettwerk, in a reported bid to change the direction of her career.
A source tells celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, "Avril is hoping that new management can help her new album be more successful than the last." Lavigne has now hired Irving Azoff to represent her - his management company’s clients include Christina Aguilera and the Eagles.

Hollywood star JIM CARREY was more concerned with looking cool than getting medical treatment when he broke three ribs on the set of new movie YES MAN.
The funnyman was left in agony after he threw himself to the ground during a scene with co-star Molly Sims.
But Carrey admits he ignored the discomfort to protect his image in front of his fellow cast and crew members.
He says, "I’ve done pratfalls my whole life but halfway through the pratfall, I decided ‘I’m going to change things up here - I want to get all my limbs up into the frame and I hit so hard’.
"But the first thing I thought of was ‘must look cool, man’. I got up and I was in agony. I went up to the video monitors and I said ‘Can I see that back?’."

Singer/actor HARRY BELAFONTE has withdrawn rare documents linked to MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. from an auction after the civil rights leader’s estate insisted the star had "wrongly acquired" them.
A trio of papers, including a handwritten draft of King’s first anti-Vietnam war speech, was set to go under the hammer at New York’s Sotheby’s auction house on Thursday (10Dec08).
The documents were expected to sell for up to $1.3 million (£870,000).
But Belafonte, a prominent civil rights advocate, removed the items from sale while King’s estate tries to determine how they came to be in the star’s possession.
Isaac Farris, chief executive of the King Centre, says, "The King estate is currently in conversations with Sotheby’s to establish the truth." The Day-O singer allegedly claims the papers were passed on to him from King’s wife. Belafonte and King became close during America’s civil rights movement in the 1950s and 60s.
The other documents include speech notes found on King when he was assassinated in 1968, as well as a letter of condolence from former U.S.
president Lyndon B. Johnson to King’s wife after his death.

Rockers BON JOVI have beaten out competition from BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and MADONNA to secure the highest grossing tour of 2008.
The Livin’ On A Prayer hitmakers’ Lost Highway international trek brought in $210.6 million (£142 million), just ahead of Springsteen’s Magic Tour, which grossed $204.5 million (£137 million) worldwide, according to Billboard.
Pop superstar Madonna and her Sticky & Sweet dates came third in the countdown, garnering $162 million (£109 million), despite the Material Girl star still performing concerts across the globe.
Despite cancelling a string of gigs due to ill health, Celine Dion makes the top ten, as do comeback tours from rockers The Police and the Spice Girls.

JENNIFER ANISTON has hit out at ANGELINA JOLIE’s announcement she fell in love with BRAD PITT on the set of MRS & MRS SMITH - insisting the actress’ comments "confirmed" her suspicions at the time.
The Tomb Raider star recently admitted she fell for Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt while they were making the 2005 movie - when the actor was still married.
Aniston subsequently told American Vogue that Jolie’s comments were "uncool" and has now spoken about her disappointment following the revelation.
But the former Friends star is adamant that she won’t let the news upset her and is trying to laugh off the incident.
She tells U.S. magazine GQ, "Well, you know, that was definitely a confirmation for me of something that wasn’t quite confirmed at the time. But listen… You sit there and you… No. No daggers through the heart. I laugh.

MADONNA and her ex-husband GUY RITCHIE are still locked in a fierce custody battle over their children, according to U.K. reports.
The couple announced their split in October (08) and finalised their divorce last month (Dec08), with reports suggesting they had agreed to share custody of their eight-year-old son Rocco and adopted tot David Banda, three - with the boys splitting their time between their mother’s home in New York and Ritchie’s base in London.
Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship, is rumoured to be remaining in the U.S. with the singer.
But new reports suggest the pair is still squabbling over custody rights, with the pop superstar allegedly determined to keep the family in America with her.
A source tells London newspaper The Evening Standard, "Both sets of lawyers have still got their heads down. It is very complicated.
"Ways need to be found to tie up claims both in New York and in London. I am sure they will both want to settle this amicably. They won’t want this aired in public." The publication goes on to suggest that Madonna wants to buy Ritchie an apartment in the Big Apple to keep him close to the children, while they are raised in the U.S.
A spokesperson for Madonna was unable to be reached for comment as WENN went to press.

JERRY SPRINGER is amazed his career is a success - because he has "no talent" for entertaining.
The TV host started out in politics before moving to journalism, and eventually found fame with his notorious reality programme The Jerry Springer Show.
But the star admits his TV career has been a "fluke", because he had no experience of showbiz.
Springer tells U.K. show This Morning, "I have no talent. I really don’t. No one would have picked me to go into showbiz. I don’t have any talent. I’m not an entertainer and yet I have made my living in this industry. It’s a fluke."

Film maker OLIVER STONE’s next movie will be a documentary about Venezuelan president HUGO CHAVEZ.
Fresh from the release of his biopic of U.S. president George W. Bush, Stone has already started work on his Chavez movie - which he kicked off after visiting the leader back in February (08).
And he reveals it was inspired by the influx of left-wing heads of state in Latin America in recent years.
The Oscar winner tells Variety, "It’s about Chavez and the South American revolution." The movie is due for release in 2009.
According to Variety, Stone is planning a second secret presidential documentary, which he has denied is about Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

HOME ALONE star MACAULAY CULKIN’s sister has died after she was hit by a car.
Dakota Culkin, 29, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after the accident on Wednesday (10Dec08), according to website TMZ.com. She died of her injuries.

Acclaimed psychotherapy drama IN TREATMENT and election thriller RECOUNT lead the TV nominations for the 2009 Golden Globe Awards.
Both shows garnered five nods apiece, including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Designers PHILLIPPE and DAVID BLOND are set for a Christmas bonus - BRITNEY SPEARS is considering signing them up as the official costumers for her upcoming world tour.
Spears wears a Blond corset on the inside of her Circus album and she loves the look so much, she’s keen to take a collection of their designs on the road with her.
A Blond source tells Hollyscoop.com, "They will only be designing for Britney’s tour outfits and not any of her dancers. They are super excited about this project." And Spears insiders claim the singer is working extra hard in the gym so she can complete an energetic live show wearing the Blonds’ "extremely heavy" outfits.
Blond spokesman Mauricio Padilha says, "They have already submitted sketches.
They may even be making her a Swarovski crystal mask to match one of the corsets for the tour."
