WEE MAN TARGETED IN NEW LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 pm

JACKASS star WEE MAN has been targeted in a new lawsuit after two women accused him of conducting their allegedly unlawful arrest on his reality TV show.
Tracie Johnson and Marketta Jo Abram filed suit against the diminutive funnyman - real name Jason Bryant Acuna - on Friday (05Dec08).
The pair was filmed running from police officers in an Indiana department store on 10 December 2006 in a purported theft-related investigation for Acuna’s short-lived reality U.S. TV series Armed & Famous.
The show featured celebrities including Erik Estrada, La Toya Jackson, Jack Osbourne and Trish Stratus working as reserve officers for the Muncie, Indiana Police Department.
Court documents allege the Muncie Police Department failed to properly train the celebrity officers, adding the women were “unlawfully restrained and falsely imprisoned” after being accosted by Acuna and Scott O’Dell, a police officer who served as his partner on the series.
The suit alleges had the officers used “due diligence, they would have known that Johnson and Abram were not criminals and that they in fact had done nothing wrong.” Court records show charges of resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct were filed against the local woman in January 2007.
The misdemeanour charges against Abram were later dropped by the Delaware County prosecutor’s office.
The CBS television network, show producers, the Muncie Police Department and its former chief, and the city and ex-Mayor Dan Canan have also been named in the suit.
