MADONNA GIVES RITCHIE CASH TO KEEP HIM CLOSE TO KIDS
MADONNA has reportedly reached a $44.8 million (£32 million) divorce settlement with ex-husband GUY RITCHIE so he can buy homes in London and New York to be close to their three children.
The former couple announced their split in October (08) and the ‘quickie’ divorce was settled last month (Nov08) with details of the agreement kept secret.
But now a British tabloid reports that although Ritchie, 40, signed away any claim on Madonna’s $438 million (£300 million) fortune, he will be given $17.5 million (£12 million) cash to help him buy property after Madonna insisted on keeping their marital home in Marylebone, London.
Snatch director Ritchie will also allegedly keep couple’s country estate in Wiltshire, England, worth $29.2 million (£20 million), as well as his pub - the Punchbowl in London’s Mayfair - which is worth $4.4 (£3 million).
The cash will help him buy property in London and New York so he can be close to their kids - Lourdes, 12, Rocco, seven, and adopted son David Banda, three when they are with Madonna.
A friend of Ritchie’s tells Britain’s News of the World, "He never wanted any cash handouts. He agreed with Madonna’s demands to keep the peace."
