GOLDBERG WANTS CRUISE TO WIN HER ANOTHER OSCAR
WHOOPI GOLDBERG is desperate to land a movie role alongside TOM CRUISE because she’s convinced he’ll help her pick up her second Oscar.
Goldberg is mystified Cruise has never received the highest acting accolade himself, because he has helped numerous co-stars lift statuettes.
She cites Cuba Gooding Jr’s Best Supporting Actor award for his role alongside Cruise in Jerry Maguire; and Dustin Hoffman’s Best Actor prize for Rain Man, in which he played the star’s autistic brother.
The actress - who won her Oscar for 1990 movie Ghost - says, "People forget what a good actor he is.
"One of the reasons I want to work with him is that he seems to gather Academy Award nominations for the people he works with."
