JACKSON SUPPORTS MUMBAI VICTIMS
Hollywood actor SAMUEL L. JACKSON has offered his support to victims of last week’s terrorist massacre in Mumbai, India.
At least 188 people were killed when gunmen opened fire in multiple locations in Indian’s financial capital.
And Jackson took time out to condemn the terrorist attacks when he spoke at the 23rd annual American Cinematheque Awards, where he was honoured for services to the movie industry.
He says, "There are some nasty people who want to keep us not socialising and indoors. We can’t let that happen." Nine-year-old Lily Sheen - Beckinsale’s daughter with ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen - landed a role playing the younger version of her mother’s character in forthcoming release Everybody’s Fine.
But the youngster - in only her third movie part - was completely undaunted by the prospect of lining up with De Niro, the star of the film.
Beckinsale Sr tells Us Weekly, "Robert De Niro’s asked if she could audition.
We get to the set and I’m scared, but Lily’s bummed he’s not someone famous like SpongeBob SquarePants or George Clooney. She’s not intimidated."
