RITCHIE PLANNING NEW YORK PUB VENTURE
MADONNA’s ex GUY RITCHIE is making plans to open a new pub in the pop superstar’s native New York.
The director, who owns posh London pub The Punchbowl, is reportedly looking into buying a property in the Big Apple after New Yorkers visiting his Mayfair establishment expressed their desire to have a similar bar on the East Coast.
And according to reports, Ritchie is keen to use the new venture as an excuse to visit his sons Rocco, eight, and adopted David, three, who are expected to live in the U.S. with Madonna.
A source tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, "A lot of New Yorkers told Punchbowl staff they wish they had something like that over there.
"And if Guy has business in New York he would have a great excuse to have proper days out with the kids.
"Guy is very dedicated to his films but his number one priority will always be the kids. He dreads the idea of becoming an ‘occasional dad’." Madonna and Ritchie’s divorce is expected to be finalised in December (08).
Under the terms of their divorce agreement, their two sons will share their time between both parents, while Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, from a previous relationship, will remain with her mother.
