LIVE EARTH CONCERT IN MUMBAI CANCELLED AFTER ATTACKS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:27 pm

The Live Earth India concert due to feature BON JOVI, PINK FLOYD star ROGER WATERS and BLACK EYED PEAS rapper will.i.am has been cancelled in the wake of the recent terror attacks in Mumbai.
The charity concert, which was planned to raise awareness of climate change, was scheduled to take place on 7 December (08).
But organisers, including former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, have confirmed the event will not go ahead, after nearly 200 people were killed and hundreds injured in a series of attacks that began on Wednesday (26Nov08).
A statement released on Saturday (29Nov08) reads: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are saddened to announce that Live Earth India has been called off." The show would have followed the series of concerts on seven continents on 7 July last year (07), which were seen by more than two billion people.
The organisers add: "Together, we will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India and around the world.
"But for now, our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims of this terrible attack, with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone across India."
