PRATT DENIES STAGING WEDDING TO MONTAG
Reality TV star SPENCER PRATT has laughed off reports his recent wedding to THE HILLS star HEIDI MONTAG was a staged event simply to garner publicity.
The couple married in a secret ceremony in Mexico, but the country’s requirements on legalising foreign marriages sent internet gossips into a spin about whether their vows were made for TV.
MTV bosses have confirmed cameras have filmed the couple’s journey down the aisle for The Hills and will follow them on their honeymoon, but Pratt insists the nuptials weren’t fake.
He tells Usmagazine.com, "Like other elopements that happen outside the country, we’ll take care of the legal details when we get home.
"We had a beautiful ceremony here at One & Only Palmilla officiated by a minister and photographed by the hotel photographer. We’ve never been happier." Pratt and Montag began dating in 2006.
