ROCKER RICHARDS SET FOR EASY LISTENING RELEASE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:03 am

Former hellraiser KEITH RICHARDS is seriously considering releasing an album of easy listening classics.
The Rolling Stone rocker, 64, has recorded a number of mellow covers of hits, including Andy Williams’ Let It Be Me, Elvis Presley’s Don’t and Judy Garland’s Somewhere Over the Rainbow, over the years, and recently leaked tracks have proved popular online.
The never-released tracks, featured on fansite Captainsdead.com, could now be turned into a full LP.
In a recent Internet chat with fans, Richards said, "I’ve never planned it before, but maybe now I should. I’ll think about it." A source adds of the project, "An album of Keith crooning country ballads and tender love songs is a distinct possibility." Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness and Buddy Holly’s Heartbeat have also been covered by Richards.
