MEL B MADE HUSBAND WAIT FOR SEX
Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN made her husband wait several months before they first had sex - because she wasn’t ready for an "intimate relationship".
The singer began dating film producer Stephen Belafonte shortly after she gave birth to Eddie Murphy’s daughter Angel Iris in April 2007. They wed in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony later that year in June (07).
And Brown admits that when they first embarked on their romance, she was determined to save intimate relations until she was sure he was her perfect partner.
Belafonte says, "For the record, she made me wait… a long time! I waited months. That was no easy task." But Brown explains, "If someone makes you wait, that’s a good thing. Just having sex can cloud your brain.
"I wasn’t ready to get into any form of intimate relationship. And I wasn’t ready to introduce a man to my kids unless I was sure of him. My feelings for him crept up on me - he was supportive and his friendship meant everything to me." Brown is also mother to Phoenix Chi, nine, from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
