FUR-LOVER LOHAN ATTACKED BY FLOUR THROWER IN PARIS
LINDSAY LOHAN’s trip to France turned sour early on Saturday morning (15Nov08) when she was showered with flour at a Paris club.
An anti-fur activist covered the actress with flour as she was celebrating with friends on the famous Champs-Elysees.
He yelled, "Lindsay Lohan - fur hag!" as the Mean Girls star stood fuming after the attack.
A bystander says, "Lindsay was mortified and then furious. She’s in Paris supporting her girlfriend, DJ Samantha Morton, and I think she was planning a flour-free weekend." It’s believed the flour thrower was connected to animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which has attacked Lohan in recent days for wearing fur coats.
A statement from PETA reads, "Lohan has enraged animal lovers by appearing in at least two different fur coats in recent days, despite PETA’s repeated pleas that she consider how animals suffer for every fur garment and stop wearing their skins. She was named on PETA’s annual Worst Dressed List earlier this year." Her love of fur hit the headlines in May (08), when she was accused of stealing an $11,000 (£7,300) fur coat from a New York club.
PETA Europe’s Robbie LeBlanc has applauded the flour attack on Lohan, stating, "There is nothing remotely fashionable about the torture and death of animals killed for fur.
"Lindsay Lohan might be able to ignore images of bloody animals skinned alive for their pelts, but we hope a dash of flour will help her rise to the occasion and forsake fur once and for all."
