OPRAH’S `PREGNANT MAN’ WITH CHILD AGAIN
The man who wowed the world with his pregnancy on OPRAH WINFREY’s talk show show is to give birth again.
Thomas Beatie, and his wife, Nancy, welcomed a baby girl earlier this year (08) and now he tells U.S. newswoman Barbara Walters in a new TV special that the couple is set to give their daughter Susan a little brother or sister.
Beatie, who was born a woman but is now legally a man, told Walters he is pregnant again during the taping of What Is a Man, What Is a Woman? Journey of a Pregnant Man, which will air on TV in America on Friday night (14Nov08).
Beatie explained he took testosterone to help him make the transformation from female to male, but stopped taking the hormone in order to get pregnant with Susan - and he hasn’t taken it since his baby’s birth, so he could get pregnant again.
His second child is due around daughter Susan’s first birthday.
