The son of rock legend BRYAN FERRY has slammed British prisons for not being tough enough - while serving a stint behind bars.
Otis Ferry was arrested and charged in April (08) after he was accused of wrestling a video camera from one woman as she filmed him reportedly taking part in a fox hunt - which is now an illegal sport in the U.K.
Ferry was remanded in prison in Gloucester, England for allegedly perverting the course of justice by trying to discredit a witness in the trial.
But, in a letter to a hunting magazine, Ferry allegedly mocks the British justice system - comparing being imprisoned to studying at a posh boarding school.
He says, "Contrary to popular belief, prison life is not tough, and in this namby-pamby society we even get our own televisions, although I have quickly realised that watching it is quite a punishment itself.
"I am not a TV watcher outside prison and so I keep to my books as much as possible. Other than that, we go outside for half an hour every day in a tennis court-sized yard, like battery hens, walk around in circles for a while then return to our cells for the rest of the day."

Newlyweds SCARLETT JOHANSSON and RYAN REYNOLDS are planning a top secret second wedding in the U.S., according to reports.

SIR ELTON JOHN declared his love for America at a charity fundraiser in New York on Tuesday (11Nov08) - admitting he fell in love with the country again after it voted in BARACK OBAMA as the next U.S. president.
The Rocket Man legend hosted the event to raise funds for his AIDS Foundation in which Gladys Knight joined Sir Elton on stage for a rousing rendition of That’s What Friends Are For.
And after raising a staggering $2 million (£1.56million) for the good cause the star took time out to praise U.S. citizens, telling fans he was "proud" of the country once again.
He told revellers at the bash, "I’m so proud to be in this country. So proud to be a part of something so incredibly moving, and touching.
"Last week’s election demonstrated to me why I fell in love with America in the first place. More importantly, it demonstrated to everybody across this planet that America is a good place now."

R&B superstar BEYONCE KNOWLES has denied leaking online a brand new track JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE reportedly wrote for her.
Timberlake’s representatives are baffled how the recording of him performing new track Magic found its way onto the Internet.
It has been alleged the song was written for Beyonce - but her manager father Mathew Knowles denies knowing anything about the controversy.
He tells Us Weekly magazine, "(The track) was never presented to me personally. We have a good relationship with Justin."

Late comedy star BERNIE MAC has been visiting his widow from beyond the grave, to help her mourn his death.
The Ocean’s Eleven star died of heart failure in August (08), following a prolonged battle with pneumonia.
And his devastated wife Rhonda McCullough insists the funnyman has returned to their home in Chicago, Illinois, to comfort her.
She describes his first ‘visit’: "I could smell his cologne. I inhaled and I said, ‘You’re here’. I was turning around and saying, ‘Hey Bernard’. It stayed with me for about five minutes.
"I don’t always feel him. But I think he comes when I really need him."

British actress TILDA SWINTON will take charge of affairs at next year’s (Feb09) Berlin Film Festival, heading up a jury of movie industry experts.
The Michael Clayton Oscar winner was chosen because "her commanding screen presence has made an indelible impression in contemporary, innovative film making", festival director Dieter Kosslick reveals.
The festival will run from 5 - 15 February (09), kicking off the 2009 European film festival season.

DANIEL CRAIG credits former BOND star SIR ROGER MOORE with his success as 007 insisting the star inspired his own take on the superspy role.
Moore has defended Craig - initially an unpopular choice as the world’s most famous secret agent - praising his performance in recent interviews.
And the blue-eyed actor insists he’s honoured to follow in Moore’s footsteps with his role in 2006 film Casino Royale and the forthcoming movie Quantum of Solace.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS frontman ANTHONY KIEDIS is turning his extraordinary life story into a new TV drama series.
U.S. cable network HBO plan to turn Kiedis’ 2004 autobiography Scar Tissue into a show.
The tell-all tome gave an explosive insight into Kiedis’ early life in Hollywood, when his father was a drug dealer to the stars. He famously included the claim he lost his virginity aged 12 - to his dad’s girlfriend.
Kiedis says of his relationship with his dad Spider, "He introduced me to the arts, to a more culturally magnificent life. But some of it was this quite heavy, adult matter that I wasn’t capable of digesting." And the rocker hopes the TV project will help him bond with his father. He tells Daily Variety, "I love mulling over all this raw material. "(Dad’s) into it too. He sees it as our last great hurrah. For us to be reconnecting to construct these memories is exciting." Kiedis is considering narrating the show, and may make regular cameo appearances.

The death of an alleged former AMERICAN IDOL contestant whose body was found near PAULA ABDUL’s home on Tuesday (11Nov08) night has left the star "shocked and saddened", according to her publicist.
Police found the body of a woman in a parked car in Abdul’s Sherman Oaks, California neighbourhood - and pronounced her dead at the scene.
The car is registered to 30-year-old Paula Goodspeed - who featured as a contestant on the U.S. reality TV series in 2006.
Reports claim the woman’s parents phoned police earlier in the day to report their daughter missing, stating that she "had an unnatural obsession" with the American Idol host.
According to TMZ.com, police sources claimed the woman was an alleged Abdul stalker and that officers had been to the singer’s house "numerous times before" to deal with her.
A spokesperson for Abdul tells Entertainment Tonight the star knew about the woman, who she said had "issues" for "several years".
Abdul was reportedly returned home late in the evening after investigators had cleared the scene.
A statement from the Abdul reads: "I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family." In a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, officer April Harding says, "This has been ruled an apparent suicide and the coroner’s office is now investigating. The body was found around 6 p.m. Tuesday." Police have not confirmed the identity of the woman.

KEVIN SPACEY will put Hollywood actor JOSH HARTNETT’s abilities to the test later this month (Nov08) - the PEARL HARBOR star has been roped in to perform at London’s 24 Hour Plays Gala.
Spacey has assembled a stellar cast of stars to take part in the annual event, that sees celebrities tackle the task of rehearsing and performing six new plays in just 24 hours.
The gala will take place at London’s Old Vic theatre - of which Spacey is the artistic director - and will be part of a fundraising event that kicks off on 30 November (08).
Hartnett - who is currently starring in the West End production of Rain Man will team up with writers, directors and fellow performers to pen, cast and then rehearse the scenes before they take to the stage in front of an audience the very same day.
Other stars who will take part in the event include theatre actor Henry Goodman, Love Actually star Martin Freeman, and Bionic Woman actress Michelle Ryan.
Spacey, who will oversee the event, says, "This is adrenaline-fuelled theatre."

A woman who was reportedly stalking AMERICAN IDOL judge PAULA ABDUL has been found dead close to the singer’s home.
Police found the body of a woman in a parked car in Sherman Oaks, California - where the star lives - on Tuesday (11Nov08) evening.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

PARIS HILTON is to add another movie role to her portfolio - she has been lined up for a new film by acclaimed director TODD SOLONDZ.
The socialite will act alongside Allison Janney, Charlotte Rampling and Paul Reubens in the as-yet-untitled project about a group of dysfunctional characters.
The movie is described as "part-sequel, part variation" to Solondz’s hit 1998 tale Happiness and filming is already underway in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Hilton’s previous big screen experience includes the 2006 horror film House of Wax and more recently the rock opera musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is currently on limited release in the U.S.

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s ex-wife HEATHER MILLS has sparked rumours of a new romance after she was spotted arm-in-arm with a wealthy London theatre producer.

Former BOND star ROGER MOORE isn’t a huge fan of the latest installments in the superspy franchise - insisting they are "too violent".
The recently released Bond movie Quantum of Solace, which stars Daniel Craig as the suave secret agent, has so far grossed more than $106 million (£67.9million) worldwide - becoming one of the most successful debuts of the year (08).
But the veteran British actor, who played 007 in seven films during the 1970s and 80s, is disappointed at the level of brutality featured in modern day Bond films.
He says, "I am happy to have done it, but I’m sad that it has turned so violent… That’s keeping up with the times, it’s what cinema-goers seem to want and it’s proved by the box-office figures."

Director RIDLEY SCOTT will helm the bizarre big screen adaptation of popular boardgame MONOPOLY.
The Gladiator moviemaker has been signed by studio giant Universal to bring the long-running game to life.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ridley will give the Monopoly movie a futuristic edge akin to his 1982 epic Blade Runner.
Corpse Bride screenwriter Pamela Pettler has also been drafted in to create a storyline for the film.

Late filmmaker/actress ADRIENNE SHELLY will be remembered next week (beg17Nov08) when a script she wrote before her tragic murder has its first public reading at a New York ceremony in her honour.
Shelly was killed in November 2006 by construction worker Diego Pillco convicted to 25 years in jail after pleading guilty to strangling the Waitress director.
Pillco had been renovating another apartment in the New York building at the time and was caught by Shelly trying to rob her apartment before the tragic incident.
Her satire entitled The O Letters is set to be unveiled at the second annual Adrienne Shelly Foundation gala at New York University on Monday (17Nov08).
The script revolves around five letters discovered in the year 4046, written to someone named Steadman by a woman who signs them O.
Among those set to attend the event include Shelly’s Waitress co-stars Cheryl Hines, Keri Russell and Jeremy Sisto.

Director BAZ LUHRMANN will have just one day to finish his epic film AUSTRALIA before its world premiere next week (18Nov08).
The Moulin Rouge moviemaker has spent four years shooting the $130 million (£84.2 million) movie, which features Aussie superstars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman as lovers during the Second World War.
But despite the long-awaited movie’s release date fast approaching, Luhrmann admits he still has to edit certain footage.
He tells the BBC, "We’re right up against it, I literally have to - on Friday - push that button." And the filmmaker has another obstacle in his way - he must fly from the U.S.
to Sydney, Australia to finish his film.
He adds, "This is really dangerous, I hope there’s no problem with the plane going back." However, Luhrmann refutes claims he is behind schedule because studio bosses demanded he scrap the film’s ending - after they reportedly found the finale too sad.
He says, "You really think that on my films people tell me what to do? I don’t think so - on my films I decide."
