MARILYN MANSON ‘WAS ASKED TO PERFORM FOR OBAMA’
MARILYN MANSON was asked to perform a concert to support BARACK OBAMA’s presidential campaign, according to the shock rocker’s ex-girlfriend EVAN RACHEL WOOD.
Wood claims she persuaded Manson not to link up with the President elect, because of the controversy it would cause.
The actress - who split from the star last month (Oct08) - says, "I advised them not to do it, I said, ‘If you show up there, it’s not going to be good.
It’s going to bring a lot of controversy, which I know you love, but Obama doesn’t need it right now’.
"Now that Obama’s been officially elected, I might call Manson and say, ‘Just go! Just go to the inauguration!’" Wood’s claims have baffled representatives for the Democrat, who tell E! Online, "That is not true."
