CONNELLY: ‘MY SON BROKE MY VEGANISM’
JENNIFER CONNELLY blames her 11-year-old son KAI for turning her back onto meat - because the strict vegan crumbled when she was pregnant with him.
The actress had successfully avoided animal products for many years until she conceived - with ex-partner David Dugan - and the cravings began.
Connelly, who is now married to British actor Paul Bettany, tells Marie Claire magazine, "I’d been vegan for many years, and then all of a sudden, when I was pregnant with Kai, I wanted a turkey burger. That was the end of my being vegan."
