NICOLE KIDMAN is refusing to hire a nanny to look after her baby daughter SUNDAY ROSE, even if it jeopardises her acting career.
The Australian star is besotted with the four-month-old - whose dad is Kidman’s husband, country star Keith Urban - and can’t yet bring herself to leave her alone for a second.
But she admits she will have to let go eventually - or face retiring from acting altogether.
The actress tells Glamour magazine, "I can’t bear to be separated from Sunday Rose. That’s why I haven’t got a daytime nanny, but at some stage I probably will have one."

Troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE is on the verge of divorcing her newly freed husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL - because she doesn’t know if she wants a future with him.
Fielder-Civil was released from Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, England on Wednesday (05Oct08) after striking a deal with prosecutors for an early release. He was sentenced to 27 months behind bars earlier this year (08) after being convicted of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and perverting the course of justice.
Since he walked free, Fielder-Civil has checked into a drug treatment centre in Surrey, south east England, in a bid to kick his addiction to narcotics as part of the bargain.
But Rehab hitmaker Winehouse has yet to visit her spouse since he was released - and she’s reportedly "seriously considering" putting an end to her short-lived marriage so she can leave her troubles in the past.
According to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, she’s been telling pals, "I don’t know if I want to be with him.
"Everything has changed. I’m trying to move on and I can’t take the pain any more. I’m still thinking about whether to see him." A source close to Winehouse adds, "Things are really bad between her and Blake. She doesn’t know any more if he’s ‘the one’. It is really sad but this could be the end." And the insider admits the singer’s dad Mitch is also keen to keep Winehouse away from her husband: "Amy is his priority. All he cares about is her.
Everything else is a distraction - especially Blake." Winehouse wed Fielder-Civil in a surprise ceremony in Miami, Florida in May 2007.

Actress EVAN RACHEL WOOD has blasted reports she dumped shock rocker MARILYN MANSON after a bitter row, insisting their break up was amicable.
News about the couple’s relationship split hit the headlines earlier this week (ends07Nov08) amid claims of tension between the lovers over her brother Ira, who had been living with them.
Sources claimed 39-year-old Manson tried to throw Ira out of the guest house at the Hollywood home he shares with his girlfriend.
But Wood, 21, has blasted the allegations, branding the so-called ‘insider’ a liar who has no current links to her.
She tells People.com, "Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work. Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story.
"Manson owns the house he lives in. My brother has never stayed there and the person that said such horrible things about Manson being ‘controlling’ and ‘emotionally abusive’ is certainly no source ‘close’ to me. Manson has been by my side and taken care of me through the best and worst times. I love him as a person and as an artist. I will always be proud to have been a part of that.
"If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life. No further comment will be made and we request our privacy at this time." Manson and Thirteen star Wood began dating in December 2006, following his split from then-wife, burlesque star Dita Von Teese.

Actor VAL KILMER is turning to Hollywood pal ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER for advice about politics - he wants to become a U.S. state governor.
The Batman Forever star, 48, is serious about running for office in New Mexico - where he owns a huge ranch - and is hoping to get some tips about the stresses of the job from movie action man-turned-Governor of California Schwarzenegger.
Kilmer says, "I plan to sit down with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I’m approaching this as a serious endeavour. But being famous as an actor is one thing - they take no prisoners in politics."

Actor SAMUEL L. JACKSON is preparing for a busy 2009 - he’s aiming to feature in a whole host of movie comics after he was revealed as comic superspy NICK FURY at the end of IRON MAN.
The Pulp Fiction star will play a key part in the sequel to this summer’s (08) Marvel blockbuster - but he’s also hoping his character will appear in the forthcoming big-screen adaptations of Captain America, Thor and The Avengers.
He tells MTV.com, "Should be some little piece of all of that. I should kinda pass through Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor - all those things - and eventually get to that Avengers space, yeah.
"They sorta gave me a master plan about how they want it to work… (But) I’ll do every movie they wanna do. I’m down."

Pop superstar MARIAH CAREY made husband NICK CANNON wait for two months before they first had sex - because she wanted to wait until she was a married woman.
The Hero hitmaker wed rapper/actor Cannon in the Bahamas in April (08) after a whirlwind romance.
But Carey, who was previously married to Sony Records boss Tommy Mottola, insisted they refrained from complete intimacy until they had exchanged vows.

BATMAN’s sidekick ROBIN has had his own TV show cancelled before it has even begun.
New programme The Graysons was to explore Robin’s alter-ego Dick ‘DJ’ Grayson before he paired up with the caped crusader.
But the project, which was in its early stages of production, has been halted by U.S. network The CW, because "the concept doesn’t fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise".
Bosses at Warner Bros. say they need some time to "rethink its DC Comics strategy".
However, CW bosses have insisted rumours that The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan was "uncomfortable" with the show’s direction has nothing to do with the decision to axe it.
Robin was last portrayed on film by Chris O’Donnell in 1997’s Batman & Robin.

Late movie star PEDRO GONZALEZ GONZALEZ is to be posthumously honoured on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Samuel L. Jackson and the dead star’s actor grandson Clifton Collins Jr. will unveil the 2,374th star, right next to movie legend’s John Wayne, with whom Pedro co-starred in several films.
The unveiling will take place next Friday (14Nov08).
The Rio Bravo star died in 2006, aged 80.

KEVIN BACON’s son TRAVIS is on a crash course to play a future JAMES BOND - the youngster is obsessed with the superspy.
Actor Bacon still has no idea what sparked his son’s 007 interest, but the kid hangs out in a tiny tuxedo and watches Bond movies all the time.
The Footloose star says, "At nine, my son suddenly became a James Bond freak.
He had to see every single one of the films, and had to see them again and again.

Veteran rocker RONNIE WOOD has been invited to spend Christmas (08) with his family back home - despite walking out on wife JO after having an affair.
The couple is reportedly seeking legal advice about getting a divorce after 23 years of marriage - but Jo has extended an offer of peace for the sake of their children over the holidays.
She says, "I’m looking forward to Christmas and Ronnie is, of course, invited.
"But I don’t know if he’ll be there. I’ll save a place at the dinner table for my ex but only if he can be bothered to call." The musician moved out of the family home in Surrey, south east England, in October (08) to live with his new girlfriend - Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.
But Jo admits she would still like the star to be fully involved with the family - especially with their pregnant daughter Leah, 30.
She adds, "It’s up to Ronnie if he wants to play a part with Leah’s baby.
He’ll have to decide on his own." The estranged couple has three kids together, including sons Tyrone, 24, and Jamie, 33, as well as six grandchildren.

Rap superstar KANYE WEST shocked his fellow celebrities backstage at a pre-MTV Europe Music Awards party in Liverpool, England on Wednesday (05Nov08) - when he reportedly relieved himself on the floor of his dressing room.
The Stronger hitmaker was in the city to perform and collect the Ultimate Urban prize at the MTV ceremony on Thursday (06Nov08).

Soul superstar PRINCE has been ordered to pay up for using the services of a video editor after he was sued for unpaid wages.
Ian C. Lewis filed a $1 million (£632,900) lawsuit against the singer and Paisley Park Enterprises last year (07), alleging the star failed to honour his work contract and damaged equipment belonging to the technician.
The case went to trial this month (Nov08) and Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregory Alarcon ruled this week (ends07Nov08) that Prince had to hand over $58,000 (£36,700) for the wages claim.
However, the judge disagreed with Lewis’ allegation the star had broken a $25,000 (£15,820) computer - because he couldn’t provide any receipts to verify the cost of the equipment.
Prince was not present in court for the ruling; he was not even represented by an attorney.

Pop star KATY PERRY was left fuming backstage at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday (06Nov08) after spotting a group of women flirting with her boyfriend, rapper TRAVIS McCOY.

LATEST: Las Vegas authorities have defended the issue of a warrant for the arrest of rapper/actor MOS DEF three months after an alleged attack - insisting they needed time to fully investigate the case before questioning the star.
Two warrants were issued for the star, real name Dante Smith, on Tuesday (04Nov08) in connection to a clash with a fashion photographer in August (08).
Mos Def faces charges of felony robbery and malicious destruction of private property after photographer Volker Corell claimed the rap star ripped a camera from his neck, smashed it to the ground and then took off with it.
But local police have been under pressure to justify the long delay.
Public Information Officer Ramon Denby explains, "The initial report was taken by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority. By the time we arrived, the property, which in this case was a Nikon camera, had been returned. Detectives then took statements from witnesses and spoke to the victim and proceeded to gather the necessary evidence to turn the case over to the District Attorney’s office.
"We have to have a certain amount of evidence to present a case to the D.A.’s office, who then makes the determination to move forward. "This was just a standard investigating time." Mos Def is currently touring in Europe and authorities are awaiting his lawyers getting in touch to organise a self surrender upon his return, reports AllHipHop.com.

LENNY KRAVITZ has cancelled the remaining dates on his Canadian tour after he was struck down with a throat infection.
The Let Love Rule singer had rescheduled a number of dates on his current tour due to a conflicting schedule.
But now he has been forced to scrap the rest of his shows due to a bad throat.
A statement on his website says, "It is with great regret that Lenny Kravitz has had to cancel the remainder of his Canadian tour. Lenny is suffering from severe throat problems that have resulted in him not being able to sing or even talk." However, Kravitz appears hopeful of a full recovery, with the statement adding, "2009 will be a huge year for Lenny with a World Tour that will play heavily in the U.S. and Canada. Lenny looks forward to seeing all of his Canadian fans again at this time and once again apologises for the very unforeseen cancellation."

PARIS HILTON’s new movie has been savaged by critics, who fear director DARREN LYNN BOUSMAN’s toughest job was editing the socialite out of his film.
The Saw films director had admitted he had reservations about signing Hilton up for his movie, but insists she was a pleasure to work with. But critics state she isn’t a pleasure to watch on screen in Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Los Angeles Times critic Mark Olsen writes, "The film is bad - not good-bad, tacky-bad or fun-bad, just plain awful and nearly unwatchable." And he’s even more scathing of Hilton’s performance in the bizarre cosmetic surgery horror musical.
Olsen adds, "It seems the production has had to cut around the ubiquitous Paris Hilton, as she is never glimpsed in anything but brief, fleeting shots and her hoarse bark of a singing voice is used as little as possible." Meanwhile, the San Jose Mercury suggests the film is "as bad as it gets", adding it’s "easily one of the worst movies of the year, if not all time." The film is released in U.S. cinemas on Friday (07Nov08).
