JACKSON EXCUSED FROM JURY
SAMUEL L. JACKSON’s celebrity helped him avoid a lengthy drug trial after the two accused men recognised him as he sat among the jury members.
The Pulp Fiction star was called to serve on a jury at a courthouse in the San Fernando Valley in California recently, and admits he was more than happy to perform his civic duty.
He says, "I was in the jury pool, in the box and these guys came in - it was a drug case, or something.
"They sat down and they looked at the jury and they saw me and they were both like, ‘Hey!’ The judge was like, ‘Mr. Jackson, you can go.’" But Jackson admits his jury day was quite pleasant: "I was reading my book and chilling with all the people in the jury pool; they were kinda shocked that I was there."
