LATEST: Actress JAIME PRESSLY has confirmed she and her fiance ERIC CUBICHE have separated - amid rumours the pair is on the verge of a permanent split.
The My Name Is Earl star has been engaged to the DJ for two years, and although the two have an 18-month-old son, Dezi, together, Pressly admits they are now on a break.
She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "We are taking a break from our relationship, but we are together every day with Dezi and still love each other very much." And Pressly, 31, insists the couple plan to "remain close friends as we both adore our son and want to make sure he knows we both love him more than life".

SANDRA BULLOCK’s mechanic husband JESSE JAMES is facing legal action from a fashion firm accusing him of fraud.
James, the owner of custom motorcycle firm West Coast Choppers, Inc., is alleged to have pulled out of a clothing deal with California-based Fortune Fashion Industries LLC at the last minute, which would have seen a collaborative line of garments named America’s Brand sold through U.S.
superstore Wal-Mart.
But, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (06Nov08), Fortune Fashion bosses claim James turned his back on the joint deal, only to later rename the fashion range and launch it with Wal-Mart, reports TMZ.com.
Furthermore, they allege James then poached one of Fortune Fashion’s key employees to work on his clothes line, Jesse James Industrial Workwear inspired by his rough-and-ready garage attire.
They have also accused him of breach of fiduciary duty, among other allegations, and are seeking damages "equal to 50 per cent of James’ or his related entities’ past and future net profit" from the Wal-Mart venture.

DANIEL CRAIG is thrilled BARACK OBAMA has triumphed in the U.S. presidential election - because he believes the African-American politician’s victory means the world may be ready for a black JAMES BOND.
The Quantum of Solace star, who received his fair share of criticism when he was named the first ‘blonde Bond’, believes the role of the secret agent could be played by actors of any race.
And Craig insists Obama’s win indicates that audiences are ready for different ethnicities to be represented in the public eye.
He says, "After Barack Obama’s victory I think we might have reached the moment for a coloured 007.
"I think the role could easily be played by a black actor, because the character created by Ian Fleming in the ’50s has undergone a great deal of evolution and continues to be updated.
"I’ve always been a fan of Obama. The political ideas that have emerged from his speeches seem to me to be genuine."

KATE BECKINSALE’s young daughter LILY has already mapped out a career for herself as a novelist.
The nine-year-old, whose father is British actor Michael Sheen, recently made her big screen debut alongside her famous mother in new movie Everybody’s Fine, playing Beckinsale’s character as a child.
But the Underworld star insists Lily won’t be following in her footsteps as an actress.
She says, "She told me she enjoyed the experience, but would rather become a writer instead. She’s currently writing seven novels. Quite a girl, my Lily."

LATEST: Country singer and DANCING WITH THE STARS contender JULIANNE HOUGH is back on her feet and feeling "phenomenal" after undergoing surgery for endometriosis.
The professional dancer was hospitalised in October (08) after suffering from severe stomach pains. She later announced that doctors had found signs of endometriosis, a common occurrence among women, symptomised by a growth on the uterus.
Hough underwent an almost two-hour-long procedure on 28 October (08) to remove her appendix, a cyst on her ovary, and scar tissue on her bladder and fallopian tubes.
And now her physician, Dr. Randy S. Harris, tells People.com the star "should be able to dance again in about a week. She was exhausted and a little dehydrated, so that’s why she needs to get a little more rest." Hough adds: "(I’m) feeling phenomenal. I am still walking slow but I’m feeling good."

KIM CATTRALL has confirmed there will be a SEX AND THE CITY movie sequel - with filming scheduled to begin as early as next summer (09).
The actress, who played maneater Samantha Jones in the hit U.S. TV series, was the last of the original core cast - which included Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis - to agree to star in the big-screen adaptation.
Earlier this year (08), Parker alluded to the possibility of a sequel to the blockbuster, promising that she and writer/director Michael Patrick King would "have that conversation (about a sequel) sooner rather than later".
And, speaking to pop star Melanie Brown in a U.K. TV interview on Tuesday (04Nov08), Cattrall revealed that a follow-up is indeed in the pipeline.
She told the former Spice Girl: "Yes, there will be a sequel. We will do the sequel next summer.
"We wanted to (film) the first time, and now we’re hopefully doing it again for the second time." However, she added that it was "difficult getting everybody who’s so incredibly busy all together at the same time".
The movie Sex And The City stormed international box offices after its May (08) release, grossing more than $391 million (£211.4 million) worldwide.

ELLEN DeGENERES is devastated with the passing of a ban on same-sex marriage in California, calling the amendment a "giant step" backward for the United States.
Just over 52 per cent of those who voted on Proposition 8 opposed May’s (08) Supreme Court ruling, which legalised same-sex unions in the state.
And the openly gay talk show host, who took advantage of the May ruling and married her longtime partner Portia de Rossi in August (08), insists she is "saddened beyond belief" only unions between heterosexual couples will be recognised in California.
In a statement released on Wednesday (05Nov08), the star says she, "like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step toward equality" by electing African-American candidate Barack Obama as president on Tuesday (04Nov08).
But by passing California’s Proposition 8, the star believes citizens "took a giant step away".

MILEY CYRUS’ first job was considerably less glamorous than her work on HANNAH MONTANA - the singer/actress used to clean toilets for a living.
The 15-year-old star insists she has learned to appreciate her fame and fortune, because she started out at such a young age.

He says, "Nicole has been incredible. She has been so supportive and I’m crazy about her. I wanted to show her where I grew up. I drove past where I was baptised, past my school and then stopped outside my old house. I have happy memories of the town." The pair has been dating since they met in November (07).

PINK FLOYD drummer NICK MASON and former GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist SLASH are headed to band camp - to give advice and guidance to budding rock stars.
The rockers are taking part in the second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy camp in London, where they will give tips, eat and rehearse for 10 hours a day with 42 paying fans and wannabe musicians.
The six-day event, which began on Tuesday (04Nov08), is being held at the Abbey Road studios, made famous by the Beatles, and will end on Sunday (09Nov08) with a showcase at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England.
Mason says, "I feel quite passionate about anything that encourages people in music. They (the students) all rise to the occasion, it’s fantastic.
"Playing music is just great fun. It’s a terrific thing to do, and in this environment you’re just doing it for fun. You don’t have any musical differences."

DAMON ALBARN has hinted he is to reunite British rockers BLUR after spending time with his former bandmate GRAHAM COXON.
The Britpop pioneers have been on hiatus since 2003, with bandmembers working on side projects and solo projects.
Albarn, who has since scored huge chart success with his other music venture Gorillaz, previously dismissed the idea of a Blur reunion, insisting none of the members need the money they’d rake in by releasing another album.
But after recently meeting up with Coxon, who left the group in 2002 to pursue a solo career, Albarn is now considering the possibility of making music together again.
He says, "It’s very possible I’ll go back to Blur, it really is very possible. The truth be known Graham and I have been hanging out together a bit.
We had lunch the other day.
"He’s great; it’s fantastic to get my old friend back. So it’s good but I can’t really say any more than that."

Pop punk PINK has vowed never to sing her GEORGE W. BUSH-inspired tune DEAR MR PRESIDENT again - after BARACK OBAMA triumphed in the U.S. presidential election this week (04Nov08).
The singer/songwriter wrote the tune in 2006 out of frustration for the current U.S. president Bush and his Republican policies.
But at a performance in London on Tuesday (04Nov08), just hours before it was announced Obama had won the race to the White House, the star declared she was singing the battle cry for the last time.
She told the crowd: "It’s Election Day. Oh God, I’m very, very nervous…
We’re going to win and this is the last time that I will be performing Dear Mr President.
"The next president is going to be an ass-kicker. The whole world is gonna change or else this will become a really f**ked up song."

LATEST: Pop star KATY PERRY insists she was "hurt" by the recent furore over a controversial promotional photo showing her holding a knife.
The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker provoked outrage in the U.K. after snaps intended for her album, One For The Boys, surfaced last month (Oct08).
Anti-crime protesters in Britain slammed the singer, branding her "out of her mind" and her behaviour "unacceptable".
Perry hit back, claiming she is "against all violence" and alleging the photo was several years old.
And now she has spoken out about all the trouble caused by the picture insisting she was deeply upset by the ensuing row.
She says, "I was misrepresented because it was taken three or four years ago.
It wasn’t something I was trying to hide.
"Of course I’m a pop girl and I wanna make people happy, so it hurt me to be connected to something that is really a big deal in the U.K. right now.
"I don’t care if people make fun of me. I don’t care if they trash the record, but when I’m put into that kind of situation I feel helpless."

QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY is disappointed after learning his contribution to the new GUNS N’ ROSES album was dropped by frontman AXL ROSE.
May teamed up with the band in 1999 to collaborate on track Catcher N’ The Rye for their long awaited new LP, Chinese Democracy, which has been 14 years in the making.
But May recently found out that his efforts have been removed from the final version of the song.
He says, "It is a shame. I was proud of it." Chinese Democracy is due for release at the end of the month (Nov08).

LATEST: AMY WINEHOUSE’s newly free husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL has vowed to "get sorted" so he can rebuild his life with the superstar.
Fielder-Civil was released from Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, England on Wednesday (05Oct08) after being convicted of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and perverting the course of justice.
He was sentenced to 27 months behind bars earlier this year (08) but is alleged to have struck a deal with prosecutors for an early release.
Since he walked free, Fielder-Civil has checked into a drug treatment centre in Surrey, south east England, in a bid to kick his addiction to narcotics as part of the bargain.
And he has promised that he will get clean for the sake of his marriage.
He says, "I’m glad to be out. It’s tough inside - bloody horrible. But I’m out now and it’s bloody brilliant. I’m gonna get myself sorted. Get my life back." And Fielder-Civil insists he feels extra positive because he was released just a day after Barack Obama triumphed at the U.S. presidential election.
He adds, "It’s a welcome to the free world for me and Barack Obama. I heard about the U.S. election on the car radio - it’s got to be good news."

Filming on JOHN TRAVOLTA’s new movie came under threat after rioters in Paris, France set fire to 10 cars due to be used in the picture.
The Hollywood actor is currently shooting From Paris With Love in the French capital alongside Irish star Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Production had originally been based in the north-east area of the city in Les Bosquets de Montfermeil, a notoriously run-down area.
But movie bosses were forced to move to a more peaceful suburb after thugs made threats against film workers and torched a handful of vehicles onset.
A spokesman for the production company says, "All 10 vehicles were burnt out and there were threats against the crew.
"There’s no possibility of Mr Travolta or any of the other stars operating in such a dangerous area."
