Film buffs can catch a glimpse of SUSAN SARANDON baring all next month (Dec08), when a DVD version of her decades-old film THE APPRENTICE hits shelves.
The 62-year-old stripped down for her scandalous role in the 1971 film, shot when she was 24.
A source tells the New York Post: "There is sex in the movie and Sarandon is sexy and nude. There are a few sex scenes and one involving Sarandon as a sensual Anglophone model who’s a prisoner of her own sexual abandonment."

Actor/director KEVIN SPACEY will fight it out with KENNETH BRANAGH for the Best Actor prize at London’s 2008 Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
The American Beauty star is nominated for his role in the West End production of Speed-the-Plow at the Old Vic Theatre, of which he is artistic director, while Branagh is recognised for his turn in Ivanov at the Donmar West End at Wyndham’s Theatre.
They will compete against the likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor for Othello at the Donmar Warehouse and Adam Godley for his role in the London stage adaptation of 1988 Dustin Hoffman movie Rain Man.
Meanwhile, Margaret Tyzack (The Chalk Garden), Helen McCrory (Rosmersholm) and Lesley Manville (Her Naked Skin) are up for the Best Actress gong, while Best Director nominees include Alan Rickman (Creditors), Michael Grandage (Othello/The Chalk Garden/Ivanov) and Michael Boyd (The History Cycle).
The awards will be handed out at the Royal Opera House on 24 November (08).

Hollywood legend CLINT EASTWOOD has branded politicians "sell outs" after serving as a small-town mayor in the 1980s.
The Dirty Harry star, 78, governed Californian beach haven Carmel-by-the-sea from 1986 to 1988.
But the actor insists it was as high as his political ambitions go.
He says, "I enjoyed being Mayor of Carmel, but you do see that it is very difficult to get things done. You just have to lose your soul. You have to bulls**t people.
"You have to deal with people you don’t care for and will never be friends with, so you kind of sell yourself out to be a politician. You have to kiss it up with the world. That ain’t (sic) my style."

Filmmakers THE FARRELLY BROTHERS are planning to bring American comedy legends THE THREE STOOGES back to life in a new movie.
The vaudeville troupe - specialising in slapstick comedy - graced theatres, TV and cinema screens from the early to mid 20th century, attracting millions of fans.
Now Bobby and Peter Farrelly, famous for their gross-out movies Dumb and Dumber, and There’s Something about Mary, are bringing them back to life - a project that has taken five years to be approved by studio bosses at MGM.
A cast has yet to be announced - but the movie could reach the big screen as early as November 2009, reports Daily Variety.

American ballerina ROSELLA HIGHTOWER has died at the age of 88.
She passed away on Monday evening (03Nov08) in Cannes, France after suffering several strokes.
The U.S. and French ballet star made her debut with the prestigious Ballet Russe in Monte Carlo, Monaco in 1938.
She then joined the U.S. Ballet Theatre and was given her first role as ballerina with New York’s Metropolitan Opera in a production of Giselle.
In 1947, Hightower joined the Nouveau Ballet de Monte-Carlo, later named Grand Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas, where she danced until 1961.
She later served as ballet mistress at the Marseille and Nancy operas in France in the 1960s and 70s - a position she held at the Paris Opera from 1981 to 1983 and Milan’s La Scala from 1983 to 1986.
Her last appearance on stage was in a 1991 production of Harold and Maud, choreographed for her by Etienne Frey.

A former producer of MONTEL WILLIAMS’ talk show has filed for an additional $3 million (£1.9 million) in damages in her unfair dismissal lawsuit against U.S.
TV network CBS.
Erin Primmer accused the network, which airs Montel, of firing her from her $110,000 (£69,287)-a-year job after she collapsed on set in March 2007 from a brain aneurysm.
She was given the all-clear from her doctor to return to work in April that year, but claims she was made aware that her contract would not be renewed because its executive producer needed "someone capable of handling pressure".
And Primmer’s lawyer, E. Christopher Murray, has blasted Williams - who is not named in the suit - for doing nothing when she was let go.
He tells the New York Post, "Coming from a guy who prides himself on helping people who are disabled… it’s a little hypocritical." Primmer, who had been an employee of the network since August 2005, adds in the lawsuit - initially filed in February (08) - that her sacking was "a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, New York State and New York City law".

Legendary TV star ALAN ALDA is helping the families of wounded U.S. troops, by auctioning off two pieces of military memorabilia from the set of his hit 1970s show M*A*S*H.
Alda will give the dog tags and combat boots he wore throughout the show’s 11-year run as part of the New York Comedy Festival’s Stand Up for Heroes event.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, aiming to raise funds to assist members of the U.S. military injured while serving.
Bidding starts on Tuesday (04Nov08) at auction website charityfolks.org.

DENNIS HOPPER switched his political allegiance and pledged his support for Democrat BARACK OBAMA, after the Illinois senator charmed him with kindness.
The pair met the day Obama kicked off his presidential campaign - and the Easy Rider star was stunned when the 47-year-old candidate took the time to talk about the actor’s recently-deceased mother.
The incident - and his dislike of Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin - convinced him to end his long support of the Republican party, and vote for the Democrats.
Speaking on Tuesday (04Nov08), the day of the election, Hopper says, "I voted for Obama.
"I’ve been a republican since Reagan and I stayed a long time, but Palin finally sent me over the other side." He adds of his encounter with Obama: "My wife’s been a big fan of Obama, and we met him the day he announced he was running for president. We saw him in Chicago. I was in an elevator with him, he turned to me and said, ‘I know that your mother died a couple of months ago. I know your mother was from Kansas, my mother was from Kansas. I know what it’s like losing a mother.’ My wife had obviously said something to him, but I thought the fact the man had the presence in mind to think of me at that time, when he had so much going on the day he announced he was running for president - it moved me."

A controversial episode of teen star MILEY CYRUS’ hit show HANNAH MONTANA has been cancelled after Disney bosses were flooded with complaints from concerned parents.
The episode, titled No Sugar, Sugar, sees Cyrus’ character Hannah dealing with her pal’s diagnosis with diabetes.
The show was set to air in the U.S. on Sunday (09Nov08), but was yanked after it was previewed by parents in an on-demand version.
A spokesperson for the show tells the New York Daily News, "During the scriptwriting stage of the Hannah Montana episode in question, the matter of depicting a character with diabetes was reviewed by our Standards and Practices executives who consulted with medical experts to inform the story and ensure that it was told responsibly.
"Notwithstanding the measures we took, and based on the episode’s preview and early feedback from parents (who saw it on Subscription Video on Demand and/or mobile platforms), we removed the episode from Sunday’s schedule and are now reevaluating it."

Actors DAVID DUCHOVNY and TEA LEONI have sparked reports of a reconciliation less than a month after separating.
The couple announced its split in October (08) after 11 years of marriage just one week after Duchovny checked out of a rehab clinic in Arizona following completion of treatment for sex addiction.
The pair had been separated "for several months", but opted to keep the news private for the sake of their two kids, Madelaine, nine, and Kyd, six, according to a statement from their representatives.
But reports of a reconciliation ignited when they were reportedly seen celebrating Halloween together on New York’s Upper East Side on Friday night (31Oct08).
A source tells the New York Post the pair "looked very mellow and relaxed", as they took their kids trick-or-treating.
The source adds, "They were very cute and were holding hands." Duchovny and Leoni wed in May, 1997 after a whirlwind romance.

Dance star MOBY has hinted he’ll emigrate to Canada if Republican candidate JOHN McCAIN wins Tuesday’s (04Nov08) presidential election.

ENTOURAGE star KEVIN CONNOLLY is taking his directorial career in a new direction - he’s making music videos for rapper THE GAME and R&B singer NE-YO.
The actor, best known for his role as Eric Murphy in the hit HBO series, was brought in to shoot the promos after his work on U.S. band Blackcowboy attracted acclaim from the music industry.
In the video for the band’s single Come On, Connolly directed a cameo by supermodel Gisele Bundchen walking down Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue.
And the star is excited at the prospect of filming hip hop star The Game for forthcoming single Camera Phone - despite only having a week to complete the project.
He tells People.com, "I got hired on Wednesday and we’re shooting on Tuesday.
I’ve been scrambling around all weekend! "It’s fun because the turnaround is quick. You shoot it, you edit that week, and a week later Game will have his video. It’s amazing." And Connolly admits he was attracted to music videos because his hectic TV schedule can conflict with his desire to direct full-length movies.
He adds, "The Entourage schedule is so tight, it doesn’t allow time to get involved in movies. Music videos are great because it’s a directing fix for me.
You can pretty much do whatever."

LATEST: Syrian-Lebanese singer GEORGE WASSOUF has been released from police custody following his arrest on suspicion of drug possession.
Wassouf and another man, Joseph Karabet, were arrested on Saturday (01Nov08) after police said they found cocaine at the singer’s hotel room in central Stockholm, Sweden.
Wassouf has denied the charges, while Karabet has pleaded guilty.
Dozens of fans reportedly met the star as he left the court.
Telling reporters through a translator, Wassouf said: "I was framed and now I have been released. I’m going to wait for my trial to prove my innocence." Prosecutors will now continue the investigation before deciding whether to file charges, but confirm the singer could face "a few months" in prison in convicted.

R&B star RIHANNA has been unveiled as the spokesmodel for fashion house Gucci’s new campaign for The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The Umbrella hitmaker will front the Italian designer’s Tattoo Heart range of products. A quarter of all profits made from the line will be donated to the children’s charity.
Explaining why they chose the singer, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said her "strong personality" was a good fit for the cause, because "a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign".

CHARLIZE THERON has settled a $20 million (£12.6 million) lawsuit with the luxury watchmaker that accused her of breach of contract.
Bosses at Swiss company Raymond Weil claimed they paid Theron the sum to wear its watches exclusively between October 2005 and December 2006.
According to court documents, Theron broke their agreement when she "was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line" at a press event in Austin, Texas on 14 March 2006.
The following month (Apr08), Theron modelled a Montblanc watch on a billboard at a Swiss trade show.
Company executives added the violations "demonstrate a total disregard by (Theron) for any of her obligations under the agreement".
The settlement follows her lawyers’ failed attempts to have the case dismissed.
New court documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court reveal the suit will be tossed when it is finalised within 30 days.
Terms of the settlement in the have not been disclosed.

Rap pioneers LL COOL J and PUBLIC ENEMY and rockers THE RAMONES have been inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
The stars were among the artists honoured at a New York ceremony last Thursday (30Oct08).
Recalling his childhood in the New York City borough of Queens in Long Island, he told the crowd, "When I was a little kid in North Babylon, on Lakeway Drive, just dreaming of being a part of hip hop - I never dreamed that I would be in a position to actually be looking at a wonderful room full of people who are actually honouring and celebrating the art that I created." And Public Enemy’s Chuck D made note of the artists from differing genres of music being honoured alongside the hip-hop acts.
He said, "That this music can sit side-by-side with other great offerings of music is a true pleasure… Music is a universal language, and Long Island you are number one." Other inductees included composer Marvin Hamlisch, rockers Blue Oyster Cult, doo-wop group The Tokens, and folk singer Jean Ritchie.

Hollywood actress LINDSAY LOHAN has made a last-ditch attempt to urge her fans to vote in Tuesday’s (04Nov08) U.S
. presidential election, insisting every vote counts.
