MEDICAL WORKER PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO FAWCETT ‘SNOOPING’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 am

A former employee of Los Angeles’ UCLA Medical Center has pleaded not guilty to charges she sold information from FARRAH FAWCETT’s medical records to a U.S.
tabloid.
Lawanda Jackson is charged with illegally accessing Fawcett’s file and passing details about the actress’ cancer treatment to the National Enquirer for $4,600 (£2,875).
Jackson entered her plea at an arraignment hearing in Los Angeles on Monday (03Nov08).
A recent state investigation found that over 1,000 patients, including Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Britney Spears, had their medical files inappropriately accessed since 2003. The probe followed an expose by the Los Angeles Times newspaper earlier this year (08).
