BANKS LENDS BACKING TO OBAMA CAMPAIGN
Supermodel TYRA BANKS has thrown her support behind U.S. presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA just two days before America goes to the polls.
The catwalk beauty-turned-talkshow host has given the Democrat’s White House bid a late celebrity boost as the country prepares for its historic election on Tuesday (04Nov08).
And Banks admits she’s been won over by the Illinois senator’s campaign for change because Americans are desperate for better leadership following eight years under President George W. Bush’s rule.
In a statement, Banks says, "Throughout the campaign I have been inspired by Senator Barack Obama and his message of change, and I believe he will uplift Americans during these critical times.
"I will be voting for Obama because I feel America is not only ready for this change, we are in need of it."
