Actor MARK WAHLBERG is struggling to recover from a dislocated thumb - because his young daughter continually calls on him to play video games with her.
The star sustained the injury during filming for violent action film Max Payne, but he admits his daughter Ella Rae is enjoying taunting her father over his wound.
He says, "My four-year-old daughter is loving the fact that I’m in pain.
"She keeps making me play the Wii and the tennis really kills me.
"Honestly, hearing me squeal, I’ve never seen her so happy! You’d have thought that I’d bought her a pony or something."

LATEST: The jurors in KEANU REEVES’ alleged assault trial were shown footage of the paparazzo suing the movie star in action in court on Thursday (30Oct08).
The actor’s legal team played a video obtained from photographer Alison Silva’s website, which showed the snapper scaling a fence in an effort to get pictures of Britney Spears.
Silva was clearly using the hand he allegedly injured after falling while trying to snap Reeves behind the wheel of his Porsche in March 2007.
The photographer claims he was left seriously injured, and missed at least six months of work after he was struck by Reeves’ sportscar.
The jurors are expected to begin deliberating on the case on Friday (31Oct08).

Hollywood actress GWYNETH PALTROW has spoken about the death of her beloved father - insisting she tried using "Eastern medicine" to ease his suffering.
Bruce Paltrow was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998 and his eventual death in Italy in 2002 left the Iron Man star totally devastated.
And Paltrow admits that before her father passed away, she tried using alternative remedies in a bid to nurse him back to health.
She says, "In 1998, I was filming The Talented Mr. Ripley in Ischia, a little island off the coast of Naples in Italy. I got a call that changed my life. My father had been diagnosed with throat cancer, and it was stage four. Although he underwent treatment and survived for another four years, I watched his health deteriorate slowly until his death in 2002.
"During this time I began to read about Eastern medicine and the body’s capacity to heal itself. I tried to get my father on board - with mixed results. He loved acupuncture but hated macrobiotic food, which he likened to ‘biting into The New York Times.’"

Former BOND girl GRACE JONES reportedly flew into a fury on Wednesday (29Oct08) when a partygoer accidentally stepped on her fur coat at the London afterparty for new 007 movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
The eccentric singer/actress joined the film’s stars Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench and Olga Kurylenko at the Battersea Power Station bash after the world premiere of the movie in the capital’s Leicester Square.
But she lost her temper when a male guest put his foot on her lavish coat in the VIP section of the venue.
An onlooker tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, "The guy looked totally freaked out. He accidentally brushed past Grace and stepped on her fur coat which didn’t go down well.
"He didn’t know where to put himself when she started yelling. Grace can be quite scary. He just kept apologising and then ran as soon as her friends stepped in." And Jones drew further attention to herself when she openly flouted England’s strict no smoking laws - and illegally lit up a cigarette indoors, much to the organisers’ horror.
The source adds, "Everyone else traipsed out in the cold to smoke. But Grace was having none of it." Smoking in enclosed public places was banned in England in July 2007.

Ukranian actress OLGA KURYLENKO has been slammed by Russia’s Communist Party for "betraying" her cultural roots by starring in the new JAMES BOND movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
The star plays Daniel Craig’s sidekick in the action thriller - but she has come under fire from Marxist ideologists who claim she has offended her ancestors by assisting the fictional Bond, "a man who worked for decades under the orders of (Margaret) Thatcher and (Ronald) Reagan to destroy the USSR".
In a direct appeal to Kurylenko via their website, the Communists of St Petersburg say: "The Soviet Union educated you, cared for you and brought you up for free but no one suspected that you would commit this act of intellectual and moral betrayal."

Oscar winner JENNIFER HUDSON will bury the bodies of her slain mother, brother and nephew in a private memorial service in Chicago, Illinois on Monday (03Nov08).
The singer/actress’ mum Darnell Donerson and her brother Jason Hudson were found shot to death at their home last Friday (24Oct08), while the body of seven-year-old Julian King was discovered three days later in an abandoned car in Chicago.
The Dreamgirls star and her family will remember their loved ones at a closed ceremony - and Hudson has requested that in lieu of flowers, fans make contributions to her newly-created domestic violence organisation, The Hudson-King Foundation for Families of Slain Victims.
William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, is being quizzed by police over the slayings, but authorities have yet to file any charges against him.

Actor JOSH BROLIN feared he’d meet his death on the night he was arrested by police after a fight at a bar, because the situation had rapidly gotten out of hand.
The star was celebrating the completion of filming on George W. Bush biopic W with director Oliver Stone and members of the cast and crew when the incident occurred.
Brolin, his co-star Jeffrey Wright, and five crewmembers were arrested when they allegedly got involved in a fight between locals at the Stray Cat bar in Shreveport, Louisiana in July (08).
And Brolin admits he had other concerns on his mind than be scared of what was happening to them.
He says, "When it started escalating I thought, ‘Is this the night when I get tasered and have a heart attack?’ "But I was more confused than scared. Confused and befuddled. I was looking around in total shock - or I was trying to; I had Mace in my eyes at the time."

Welsh soul star DUFFY almost went up in flames last week (ends24Oct08) when she accidentally set her hair alight backstage at a COLDPLAY concert.
The Mercy singer recently supported the British rockers at a gig in Cleveland, Ohio - but found herself in a potentially life-threatening situation when her blonde locks caught fire from a candle in her dressing room.
She says, "I was in the dressing room and I had music on and candles alight.
"The venue was a huge stadium, like a big sports centre. The dressing rooms had big white lights, no mirrors and lockers all along. They were super cool but you wouldn’t want to spend three hours in there. So I was giving it a little bit of razzle dazzle. I had dimmed the lights then I lit this candle and it started melting a bit.
"I thought, ‘S**t!’ and started blowing it out. I got a cloth to wipe it up and bent down, not realising it was still lit. Then the entire left side of my hair went up in flames." But her cringe-worthy situation soon got worse when she realised Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was on his way to visit her.
She recalls, "At that moment, Chris was walking down the corridor to say, ‘Hi’. I hadn’t met him before and the place stank of burning hair.
"Somebody came in and said, ‘Is someone cooking chicken?’ I had black crumbs of hair all down me so I had to give it a chop and pin it back. It was really bad and properly embarrassing. Chris could smell it, you couldn’t avoid smelling it.
"Can you imagine if I had gone up in flames? Nightmare. I honestly saw my life flash before my eyes."

British rockers KAISER CHIEFS have denied using superproducer MARK RONSON in a bid to boost their profile.
The I Predict A Riot hitmakers made the unusual choice of hiring the Grammy-winner to work on their latest album, Off With Their Heads. And the move promoted speculation that the band were seeking to use Ronson’s international fame as a publicity stunt.
But frontman Ricky Wilson insists the group decided on working with Ronson because he was the only producer to ask them.
Wilson says, "Mark asked to do the album, you know? He was the only person who did, so because he asked, he got the job.
"We realised it was bound to be of interest to people, but we didn’t do it as some PR stunt.
"If there’s a guy who you get on with, he likes going to the pub and he’s winning Grammys for records he’s made plus he’s asking you if he can produce your next record, you’d be daft not to take him up on his offer."

AEROSMITH rocker JOE PERRY has given U.S. presidential candidate JOHN McCAIN a celebrity boost as he prepares for next week’s (04Nov08) big election - by joining the likes of ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER and campaigning for the Republican former prisoner of war.
Perry tells the Boston Herald newspaper that national security issues and the American economic crisis have prompted him to split from the rest of the entertainment world, which appears to be backing McCain’s opponent Barack Obama, who is leading in the polls.

British rapper M.I.A. has vowed to quit America if Republican presidential candidate JOHN McCAIN wins next week’s (04Nov08) election.
The Paper Planes hitmaker, real name Mathangi ‘Maya’ Arulpragasam, is fascinated by the history-making election and is throwing her support behind McCain’s opponent, Democrat Barack Obama.
But if the Illinois senator fails to win enough votes to get to the White House, M.I.A. will take the first plane out of the U.S.

"I’m here because it’s an interesting time. It’s important to be here watching and saying to people, ‘Look, your country has been so dumb for eight years. JACK WHITE will hit the studio with RADIOHEAD frontman THOM YORKE as soon as he is fully recovered from his neck injury.
The White Stripes singer is suffering from a slipped disc and has been ordered to rest for two months.
But he reveals Yorke will be the first person he calls when he’s ready to perform again - and he’s already got a few songs ready.
He says, "We’ve known each other for a while now. But the doctors said I couldn’t perform for two months. I’ve been writing a lot instead."

SAMUEL L. JACKSON fears BARACK OBAMA will face assassination attempts from racists if he’s elected America’s first black president next week (04Nov08).
Democrat Obama is ahead of Republican opponent John McCain in the polls, and he has tremendous support from the biggest celebrities - including Pulp Fiction star Jackson.
But he fears if Obama wins, he will be marked as soon as he takes office next year (09), if not before.

Motherhood has turned NICOLE KIDMAN into a sobbing wreck - she weeps just thinking about her baby daughter.
The Aussie actress, 41, gave birth to Sunday Rose in July (08) and she still can’t believe she’s a natural mum after a series of false hopes and a miscarriage.
She tells Parade magazine, "I’m raw and emotional. I cry even thinking of her, but they are tears of joy.
"I never thought I would get to have it (natural motherhood). To have been given it so late in life I’m so ready for it.
"And I think giving birth to a child, as a woman, is what we’re born to do. I don’t mean that to sound sexist, because many women don’t get to do it, and I thought I was one of them.
"If you are given that gift, it’s an extraordinary thing."

LATEST: MICHAEL JACKSON has ruled out a family tour, despite brother JERMAINE’s promise to fans that the entire clan is set to hit the road together.
Jermaine teased fans earlier this week (beg27Oct08) when he stated Michael, his brothers and sister Janet would record a new album together and tour in 2009 to revive the family’s flagging fortunes.
But the Beat It singer has slammed the reports, insisting there are no plans to reunite the Jackson 5 or any other family group.
In a statement, Jackson says, "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but, at this time, I have no plans to record or tour with them.
"I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s former lover and their daughter are moving out of the tragic star’s Los Angeles home.
Photojournalist Larry Birkhead brought baby Dannielynn to Smith’s Coldwater Canyon home after he was granted custody of the tot last year (07), and now he’s moving on.
The 35 year old tells Life & Style magazine, "I always said I’d never sell, but the longer we’ve been here, the more I’ve realised it’s not built for children. We live over a canyon, and while the view’s great, there’s no backyard.
"I’ve bought Dannielynn every toy under the sun, but they can’t replace a yard. She doesn’t have a place to have her friends over to play." Birkhead is now planning to set up home in Calabasas, California, adding, "It’s a little farther out of Los Angeles than we are now, so it’s less crazy.
And there are tons of children in the neighbourhood. It seems very kid-friendly."
