BARKER’S EX SHOPPING FOR A TOURBUS
Rocker TRAVIS BARKER’s ex-wife is shopping for a luxury tourbus so the drummer no longer needs to jump on a plane to get to gigs.
Barker was left badly burned and injured following a September (08) plane crash in South Carolina, which left four dead.
And now his ex Shanna Moakler insists the former Blink-182 star has no plans to set foot on another private plane.
She says, "We’re probably not going to be flying anytime soon, at all…We are going to invest in a tourbus." Moakler and Barker travelled back to California from Georgia, where the rocker was hospitalised after the crash, on a bus.
And, speaking for the first time about the night she heard of the plane crash, Moakler tells U.S. news show Extra, "Travis was just in the back of the plane and he remembered where the emergency exit was. So it’s miraculous." Only he and pal/bandmate Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein survived the crash - and Moakler reveals that Barker, who has always hated flying, had an intuition about the dreaded flight.
She adds, "What’s really odd, before they left, he had taken pictures of the plane…and sent them to me. He said, ‘I don’t have a good feeling about this plane’…I said, ‘Please be safe.’ He had a feeling…that something was about to happen."
