PAPARAZZO GIVES CONFLICTING TESTIMONY IN REEVES COURT CASE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 pm

KEANU REEVES got a boost in his ongoing court case against a paparazzo, after the photographer was accused of giving conflicting accounts of the incident he alleges left him seriously injured.
Photographer Alison Silva is suing Reeves, claiming the Speed actor knocked him to the ground in March 2007 with his car.
Silva alleges he was left with debilitating injuries to his wrist, which has affected his ability to work. He is seeking compensation to cover medical costs and damages.
Questioned by Reeves’ defence attorney on Thursday (30Oct08), Silva recounted another incident earlier this year (08), when he was beaten by fellow photographers while shooting photos of Britney Spears.
Silva acknowledged the Spears incident forced him to delay a second surgery to repair damage in his left wrist, attributed to his run-in with Reeves.
The confusion fuelled earlier contradictions after a fire department captain testified on Wednesday (29Oct08) that Silva complained of pain in his left knee moments after his fall, despite later complaining to doctors Reeves’ Porsche hit his right knee.
The captain also testified Silva was clutching his camera when paramedics arrived, contrary to the paparazzo’s testimony he dropped his camera when he says Reeves hit him with his car.
According to reports, Silva claimed he could not remember aspects of the incident and statements he made to emergency responders and doctors.
Reeves, 44, has denied he hit Silva, insisting the snapper stumbled as he backed away from the vehicle.
The case is expected to go in front of a jury by Friday (31Oct08).
