The Almost Famous actress has been involved with a string of eligible bachelors since splitting from husband Chris Robinson in 2006, including Owen Wilson and cycling ace Lance Armstrong And Hudson is now rumoured to be romancing new Los Angeles Clippers star Davis, who has been her friend since the age of 16, after they were spotted on a night out in Los Angeles together, according to U.S. magazine the Star.
A source tells the tabloid: "Kate and Baron looked like they were on a date.
They enjoyed a few drinks together and whispered in each other’s ear throughout the night. At the end, they jumped into his car and drove back to her house in Pacific Palisades.
"They’ve been spending more and more time together since Baron moved back to L.A. this summer."

Comedy actor SETH ROGEN has lashed out at bosses of a U.S. cinema chain after his new film, ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO, was banned from its theatres.
Bosses at The Megaplex Theatres in Utah towns Salt Lake City, Ogden, Lehi, and Sandy have decided not to show Rogen’s new comedy amid fears it may be too crude for viewers.
The film, starring Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, centres on two desperate friends who launch an amateur porn studio.
Rogen insists the cinema bosses are being hypocritical - choosing to air controversial horror flicks, while claiming his film’s sex and nudity scenes will be too much for movie fans.
He says, "Some people have an issue with porno - just with the word ‘porno’ which I think is crazy. Everyone has sex. Everyone likes having sex.
"They have no problem playing Saw V, which is literally about people torturing themselves. A porno movie is the exact opposite - it’s designed to bring joy to the world.
"People have been banning our posters and the Saw V poster they’re fine with - literally a guy with a dead person’s face cut off and strapped to his face, and no one has a prob with him."

DANIEL CRAIG is in awe of ROBERT DeNIRO’s portrayal of bad guys in film because he doesn’t consider himself "capable" of playing such roles.
The actor stars in forthcoming James Bond film Quantum Of Solace - but even though he plays the tough spy, he admits he wouldn’t contemplate starring as a "truly scary" character, such as DeNiro’s part in 1990 gangster movie Goodfellas Craig tells Parade.com, "There are people on this planet where you go, ‘Oops, no, I don’t even want to look that person in the eye.’ "And that real scariness is not something I’m capable of. That’s something maybe Robert De Niro is capable of at his best. But that’s not me." And the actor is eager not to be typecast as Bond, insisting he is keen to spread his talent to encompass other aspects of the role.
He adds, "As tough a role as I have to play, I’m always just me. It’s good to be in touch with as much of yourself as possible. Otherwise, you’re a rather one-note performer. Who wants to be the tough guy and nothing else?"

Music mogul ALAN McGEE is retiring after 25 years in the business - because record labels have become pointless, "like dinosaurs or trams".
McGee - who signed Oasis, Primal Scream and The Jesus and Mary Chain to his Creation Records label, announced his retirement on social networking website Facebook.
He tells BBC 6 Music, "My status said: ‘Glad I’m not a manager any more, I really recommend it.’ But all I’ve really done is retired from managing bands after 25 years." But McGee, who has managed The Charlatans, Dirty Pretty Things and The Libertines, says his love of music will always remain.
He says, "I stopped doing the record company about a year or two ago because I think they’re pointless things, like dinosaurs or trams.
"But I’m still completely into new music and I’m still doing things with new bands, as in my clubs and stuff like that. I’m still gonna be kicking about."

Former child star COREY HAIM is to wed his actress girlfriend TIFFANY SHEPIS.
The couple first met 12 years ago on the set of 1996 film Fever Lake, but didn’t embark on a romantic relationship until they recently reunited at a horror movie autograph convention.
And now the 36-year-old has announced they are to wed next year (09).
A statement on Haim’s website reads, "A big mazal tov goes out to Corey - he is getting married!! The lovely lady is Tiffany Shepis! The wedding has been set for May 9, 2009!"

Rapper COMMON is convinced his fame has turned him into a target for people desperate for a career boost - after a police officer who stopped him for a traffic violation asked him for a job.
The hip-hop star was ready to speed off after he accepted a ticket issued when he was caught taking a wrong turn in Los Angeles.
But he was stunned when the officer asked him for a favour.
He tells the New York Daily News: "Once I was in Beverly Hills and did a U-turn, so this officer gave me a ticket. Then he realised who I was. He came back and said, ‘So if you ever need security…’ and I was like ‘Dude, you understand this is the worst way to try to get a job, right?’"

Pop group BACKSTREET BOYS have called on MTV bosses to reconsider plans to scrap popular music show Total Request Live (TRL).
The music channel’s executives recently announced that TRL is facing the axe, with the final broadcast scheduled for 16 November (08).
Launched in 1998, the show featured hot new music videos, and viewers were introduced to their favourite pop stars through exclusive interviews.
The Backstreet Boys were a regular fixture on the series throughout their 1990s heyday - and the singers are devastated that new generations of pop fans will be deprived of the show.
Bandmember Nick Carter tells MTV.com, "(It is) sad. This is something that we’ve been a part of since the beginning. So many great memories.
"Why are you taking it off? What’s wrong with you guys? Things have to change."

Celebrity DJ/producer MARK RONSON was left red-faced after indulging in several suspicious-tasting cakes at a recent event hosted by SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS because the after-effects almost prompted him to cancel his performance.
Ronson was slated to DJ at the rapper’s renowned annual White Party this summer (08), but admits he nearly had to bow out from the gig after being such a glutton.
He tells Paper magazine, "I hadn’t eaten all day, and I was starving. They were coming around with this bowl of brownies, and I grabbed three of them and just started scarfing them down, every lyric sounded like it was the Cookie Monster yelling in my ear, and I started feeling really s**tty, but I had to play through the set.
"I couldn’t just go up to Puffy (Diddy) and say, ‘Sorry, I ate a s**tload of hash brownies, I can’t do your White Party.’"

Legendary singer CHER sees no end to her decades-long career - because she wouldn’t know what to do with herself if she wasn’t performing.

And Weiland is convinced that the economic downturn is yet another incentive to drive U.S. citizens to the ballot boxes on 4 November (08) for the presidential election - insisting it is crucial that every vote is cast.
He says, "We have gotten ourselves into an economic mess. Two years ago my wife and I bought a house that was on the market for two days. Being told we’d make a profit, we put it back on the market six months ago. The bottom fell out of the housing market, and it sat for six months. Now we’re looking at a loss.
A family member, a successful real estate broker, has had to retire due to negative income.
"Politics infiltrates everything while the art, TV, film and mostly music audiences turn a blind eye. One of the main responsibilities of a citizen is to be aware and active. Please act, please be involved."

Music producer PHIL SPECTOR’s murder retrial has been delayed after a juror sustained an injury, postponing the first day of testimony.
Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler cancelled Thursday’s (30Oct08) hearing after speaking with the juror - the first alternate - who fell and broke his foot in the court parking lot.
According to reports, Fidler is reluctant to lose an alternate juror so early in the trial, which began this week (begs27Oct08).
Spector is accused of murdering actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra, California mansion in February, 2003.
A jury reached a deadlock in favour of convicting Spector last year (07), prompting a Los Angeles judge to declare a mistrial.
Court proceedings are scheduled to resume on Monday (03Nov08).

GWEN STEFANI has shed her clothes to pose with newborn son ZUMA in his first official photo shoot.
The singer and husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed their second son into the family in August (08).

MARIAH CAREY has opened up about life with new husband NICK CANNON - insisting her marriage is "perfectly normal".
The 38-year-old pop star wed Cannon in the Bahamas in April (08) after a six-week whirlwind romance.

She adds, "I do cook a little bit - in the holidays I cook. My main dish is linguini with white clam sauce. I made him it and he liked it a lot which is great."

Soul singer JOSS STONE has refuted reports she has abandoned her native Devon, England in exchange for life in Los Angeles.
The You Had Me hitmaker has spent a lot of time in the U.S. over the years recording her albums with top producers including Raphael Saadiq.
