DOWNEY JR. TO REPRISE THE AVENGERS ROLE

Actor ROBERT DOWNEY JR. has signed a new deal with Marvel Studios to reprise his role in THE AVENGERS.
The star will also appear in two more Iron Man movies as part of the contract, reports industry magazine Variety.
Iron Man 2 is due for release in 2010 while the next installment of The Avengers will hit cinemas in 2011.
