M.O.P. RAPPERS SUE WRESTLER OVER ‘STOLEN’ SONG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

Two members of 1990s rap group M.O.P. are suing wrestling superstar JOHN CENA, accusing the WWE grappler of stealing their song to use as his entrance music.
Members Jamal ‘Lil’ Fame’ Grinnage and Eric ‘Billy Danze’ Murray claim Cena’s track Time is Now is a copy of their hit Ante Up.
In their federal lawsuit, the pair also alleges that WWE lawyers were given permission to use their music by a secretary not authorised to sign off on the licence, reports TMZ.com.
Grinnage and Murray are seeking $150,000 (£100,000) in damages, and want Cena to stop using the song.
