DUFFY WAS INSPIRED BY GOLDBERG
British soul sensation DUFFY has revealed the surprising inspiration for her career in music - actress and comedienne WHOOPI GOLDBERG.
The singer made the confession during an appearance on U.S. TV talk show The View, which Goldberg co-hosts, admitting she felt starstruck in the presence of her idol.
On Tuesday’s (28Oct08) show, the Rockferry singer reveals she fell in love with soul music watching the star in musical movie Sister Act.
Duffy gushed, "My first introduction to soul music was Sister Act, so I’m having a Whoopi moment. I’ve gone full-circle."
