KID ROCK STARTS MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP

KID ROCK has started a scholarship fund to promote music education among university students in Detroit, Michigan.
The rocker and his Made in Detroit clothing company are pairing with Wayne State University in his native city to finance the Kid Rock Scholarship available to students studying the business and performance sides of music The Detroit apparel line will create 2,500 limited edition T-shirts bearing the school’s name and the Made in Detroit logo, featuring the silhouette of a factory worker carrying a large wrench.
According to University spokeswoman Francine Wunder, the school hopes to initially raise $25,000 (£15,999) from the sale.
