APPLE ‘CENSOR’ NIRVANA LYRICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

NIRVANA and AVRIL LAVIGNE have seen their lyrics censored on a music downloading service - even though they are inoffensive.
Bosses at Apple’s iTunes store accidentally edited the song titles of the artists’ hits while scanning for offensive tracks in their library.
Nirvana’s hit song Smells Like Teen Spirit appears as ‘Smells Like T**n Spirit’, and Avril Lavigne’s song Hot is titled ‘H*t’.
Apple have also censored the words ‘killer’ and ‘lesbian’, but ‘murder’ and ‘gay’ remain on display.
A spokesman for Apple tells the BBC the error was not intentional and insisted that the "database glitch" will soon be rectified.
