CHARLIE SHEEN and his wife BROOKE MUELLER are expecting twins, her mother has confirmed.
Moira Fiore reveals the couple are expecting twin boys when 31-year-old Brooke gives birth next April (09).
Fiore tells People.com, "They are so excited. Obviously, I am floating on air. They think the twins are boys." Sheen - who has three daughters from previous relationships - is desperate for a son.
Reports last month (Sep08) suggested the couple had undergone a fertility procedure, dubbed ’sperm spinning’, to boost their chances of conceiving a boy.

DANIEL CRAIG has given U.S. presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA a big boost two weeks ahead of America’s big election by insisting the Democrat would make a better JAMES BOND than his opponent JOHN McCAIN.
The British action man admits he’s fascinated by the lead up to the election on 4 November (08) - and he likes both candidates. But, if he had to choose, he’s adamant Obama would be a better Bond than ageing prisoner of war McCain.
He tells U.S. magazine Parade, "Obama would be the better Bond, because, if he’s true to his word, he’d be willing to quite literally look the enemy in the eye and go toe-to-toe with them." But McCain wouldn’t be left out of Craig’s political Bond film - the actor insists the Republican would make a good M.
He explains, "McCain, because of his long service and experience, would probably be a better M. There is, come to think of it, a kind of Judi Dench quality to McCain."

Rap superstar 50 CENT has ended his long and bitter battle with ex-girlfriend SHANIQUA TOMPKINS after reaching a custody agreement over their 11-year-old son MARQUISE.
The star, real name Curtis Jackson, will now spend one weekend a month with Marquise, plus one month each summer; half of his spring and winter school vacations and alternate U.S. national holidays.
In a statement 50 Cent reveals he is "happy it’s actually done with".
Tompkins insists she wants her son to have "a positive relationship with his dad".
The pair’s long battle over Marquise intensified in May (08) when Tompkins’ New York home was destroyed by a fire.
Tompkins and Marquise were inside the building, which 50 Cent had paid for, when the blaze took place. She claimed the rap star was responsible for starting the fire - a charge he has denied.
The former couple is due to meet in court in January (09) to settle a lawsuit over the house.

TONY CURTIS wants to end the long feud with his actress daughter JAMIE LEE CURTIS - but insists she has no reason to hate him.
The Hollywood veteran is convinced Jamie Lee is still angry about his split from her actress mother Janet Leigh, back in 1962.
But Curtis insists he supported his ex-wife and daughter financially, for long after the divorce, and always gave the 49-year-old True Lies actress attention and affection.
Curtis, 83, tells the National Enquirer, "Perhaps (it’s because of) the abrupt way I left her mother and her growing up when I wasn’t around.
"I have nothing to be ashamed of with Jamie. I did the best I could. I gave her my affection and caring without making a big deal about it." And he insists it’s now up to Jamie Lee to reach out and reconcile, adding, "What am I going to do. God bless her, I wish her the best. If she can’t forgive me, then get another father."

A stage version of PATRICK SWAYZE’s hit movie DIRTY DANCING is heading to Broadway, according to New York theatre gossips.
After wowing audiences in Australia, England and Canada, stage bosses are planning to try out productions in Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles, before taking the show to Broadway next autumn (09).
According to Daily Variety it is expected to fill the gap left at New York’s Neil Simon Theater by Hairspray, which ends its run next year.
The 1987 movie - on which the musical is based - starred Swayze as a summer camp dance instructor and Jennifer Grey as the protege who falls for him.

Actor GEORGE TAKEI has taken issue with former STAR TREK co-star WILLIAM SHATNER over a bitter video the latter has posted online.
Shatner poked fun at his former castmate’s decision to ‘come out’ as a gay man, and called Takei "sad" and "sick" for not inviting him to his same-sex marriage ceremony last month (Sep08).
In the video, posted on YouTube.com, the acting icon said, "The whole thing makes me feel badly. The poor man, there’s such a sickness there. It’s so patently obvious that there’s a psychosis there.
"I literally don’t know him… but he’s continued to speak badly about me for all these years. You’d think there would be an epiphany at some point where George might have said, ‘Poor Bill Shatner, he is such a lonely, desperate, unhappy man that he did all these terrible things to me…’ when I said hello or something… but instead what he does is he makes this big deal about not inviting me to his wedding." But Takei insists he did invite Shatner to his wedding, stating, "It is unfortunate that Bill was unable to join us for our wedding as he indeed was invited to attend." A spokesman for Takei adds, "Mr. Shatner was invited to the wedding (through his manager Larry Thompson) when invitations were mailed out in July. In June, when George Takei and Brad Altman received their license to marry, there was media speculation that Mr. Shatner would not be invited to the wedding, yet invitations had not been sent out at that time.
"On July 21, after the invitations had been mailed, Mr. Takei and Mr. Altman were interviewed on TV Guide Channel’s Watercooler programme and Mr. Takei first broke the exclusive news: ‘Most of the invitations have been sent out, and Bill is amongst them’."

Bond girl GEMMA ARTERTON insists her most unpleasant acting experience has turned out to be one of her best - when she was covered in oil and left for dead on the bed she shared with 007 DANIEL CRAIG.
The actress’ new Quantum of Solace Bond girl character, Agent Fields, is drowned in oil by the film’s villains - and then dumped on the bed she shared with the suave superspy the night before.
Arterton had to be covered from head to toe in oil for the death scene - and then she lay there for two hours, covered in gunk.
She tells WENN, "Filming that scene was brilliant, although it was quite strange. I was taken on the set and dowsed in the oil and I had to lay there for almost two hours.
"I couldn’t move, I couldn’t see, I couldn’t breathe properly, and I couldn’t hear because all the oil went in my ears. At the time I thought it was quite unpleasant, but then I thought, ‘This is something I will always remember, and it will be an iconic part of the film.’"

Publicists for actor MICHAEL MADSEN are refusing to comment about reports the RESERVOIR DOGS star has been detained by authorities over fears for his mental health.
A report on news blog TMZ.com suggests the actor was taken from his Los Angeles home on Monday (20Oct08) by sheriff’s deputies after "a family member in the house became alarmed by his crazy behavior".
The site claims he is being held on involuntary psychiatric hold, administered to patients who are deemed a danger to themselves or others.
When approached by WENN to confirm the reports, Madsen’s publicist Liza Anderson replied with "no comment".
Involuntary psychiatric hold - also known in the U.S. as a 5150 hold - is the same treatment administered to Britney Spears after her meltdown in January (08) over a child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

MILEY CYRUS is giving her rocker half-brother a career boost - by recording a duet with him for her next album.
The Hannah Montana star has already appeared in a video for sibling Trace Cyrus’ band Metro Station.
And now the 19 year old reveals he has hit the studio with his superstar little sister, to record a song.
He tells PopEater.com, "(We) worked on a song together called Hovering. Miley just informed me that we might do a music video for that and push towards alternative radio. Teen actress TAYLOR MOMSEN has been released from hospital in Los Angeles, after overcoming a "potentially life-threatening" throat infection.
The 15-year-old star of How The Grinch Stole Christmas spent four days at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after falling ill on Sunday (19Oct08), as she prepared for a school exam.
Her doctor, Shawn Nasseri, tells Usmagazine.com,"I have been treating Miss Taylor Momsen for the last few days. She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday.
"She has been an excellent patient, and, after aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days." Momsen is currently among the stars of TV hit Gossip Girl.

KENNY CHESNEY has scored his fifth number one album in America with a collection of songs about his marriage split from RENEE ZELLWEGER.
Lucky Old Sun is also the singer/songwriter’s eighth Top Country Albums charttopper.
The album picked up sales of 176,000 copies in its opening week to displace rapper T.I. Paper Trail, which falls to two.
But Chesney’s number one stint is sure to be limited to just a week because the juggernaut that is AC/DC’s Black Ice has sold more copies in it’s first day than the country singer did in a week.
U.S. fans rushed out to buy the rockers’ new album on Monday (20Oct08), giving the Aussie band a 193,000 sales day. Chart experts expect the groups to have sold more than 800,000 copies by the time the next album chart is released next week (beg27Oct08).
Due to the release date, Black Ice was ineligible for Wednesday’s (22Oct08) chart.
Back to this week’s chart and Ray LaMontagne scores his best charting and sales week yet as Gossip in the Grain debuts at three, and Metallica’s Death Magnetic and Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled album round out the new top five.

JANE’S ADDICTION are to rock again just two months after frontman PERRY FARRELL revealed that playing with his on-off bandmates was both "fun and horrible".
In an August 2008 interview with Altitude, singer Perry Farrell was asked about the possibility of a full-fledged JANE’S ADDICTION reunion. "There’s as much likelihood of that happening as there being commercial space flights," Farrell replied.
Back in August (08), Farrell likened his relationship with Dave Navarro and the other members of Jane’s Addiction to "a girlfriend that you have always been in love with and you’ll always be in love with but you don’t quite get along with." The group initially reunited in April (08) to perform at the inaugural U.S.
NME Awards in Los Angeles. It marked the first time the group had appeared with its original line-up in 15 years.
Farrell and Navarro then teamed up to perform at a party for fashion designer John Varvatos in September (08), and now the original line-up will play again on Thursday (23Oct08) at La Cita Bar in downtown Los Angeles, at a party hosted by artist Shepard Fairey.
The performance will be the group’s first full concert since Farrell brought his bandmates back together.

LATEST: Federal aviation officials in America have officially blamed a blown tyre for the plane crash that almost cost TRAVIS BARKER and ADAM ‘DJ AM’ GOLDSTEIN their lives last month (Sep08).
Two pilots and two fellow passengers were killed when a Learjet failed to clear a runway at a South Carolina airport and crashed.
Barker and DJ AM were left with life-threatening burns, but both have made terrific recoveries and are now back at home in California.
After a month-long investigation, National Transportation Safety Board officials have ruled that Barker and Goldstein’s rented aircraft’s wheels had very little rubber remaining and the plane’s brakes were severely damaged.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has raised $1 million (£578,000) for a children’s charity with the help of famous friends THE JONAS BROTHERS, 50 CENT, RIHANNA and LEONA LEWIS.
The SexyBack hitmaker held a series of events last week (ends17Oct08) to raise money for the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children, an organisation that provides medical care for needy kids.
Timberlake kicked things off with a week-long golf tournament, with players including a mixture of professionals and celebrities. Star players including actor Josh Duhamel, comedian George Lopez, and former N’ Sync bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick joined Timberlake on the green, while artists such as Boyz II Men, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, and Lionel Richie helped to cap off the week with a concert in Las Vegas on Friday night (17Oct08).
And Timberlake reveals he didn’t need to pull in favours from anyone to get all the stars together for such a worthwhile charity.
He says, "I actually wrote letters. I was old fashioned. I didn’t have to stalk anyone."

JENNIFER ANISTON’s representative has denied rumours the actress is expecting her first child - telling the press to "give her a break".
Following U.K. and Australian tabloid reports claiming the former Friends actress was pregnant, the star has released a denial statement.
The speculation stems from recent reports stating the star has reconciled with ex-boyfriend John Mayer.
The pair has been snapped together on numerous occasions in recent weeks, and even spent Mayer’s 31st birthday together in Los Angeles.

Hollywood actor KEVIN COSTNER has credited his wife CHRISTINE BAUMGARTNER with helping him forge his music career.
The Bodyguard star - formerly a member of Roving Boy - now fronts rock band Modern West in between making movies.
But he admits that although music has been a lifelong love, he was unsure about dabbling in the industry and probably wouldn’t have indulged his passion without his partner’s constant encouragement.
He says, "She heard some of my older music and said, ‘Why don’t you try it again.’ I kept giving her these excuses, but she kept at it. It wasn’t once a week, it wasn’t once a month, it was whenever she felt to mention it to build up my confidence. So she’s the reason I’m making music again. And I feel so happy about that."
