LABEOUF’S EAGLE EYE PROVES A HIT AT GLOBAL BOX OFFICE
Action thriller EAGLE EYE has soared to the top of the international box office chart taking $11.1 million (£6.4 million) in 42 markets.
The film, starring Shia LaBeouf, leaves George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s crime comedy Burn After Reading in second place with $8.7 million (£5 million).
Mark Wahlberg’s outing as Max Payne debuts in third position, taking $6.9 million (£3.98 million) globally - just over a third of its $18 million (£10.4 million) profit from the U.S. box office.
