RICHIE’S HOMEMADE BABY FOOD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 pm

Motherhood has turned socialite NICOLE RICHIE into a culinary queen - she feeds daughter HARLOW homemade baby food.
Three years ago, the 27 year old confessed she was no good around the house, insisting she didn’t clean and had no idea how to cook.
But, after becoming a first-time mum to baby Harlow in January (08), she has changed her approach to her home life and now purees steamed vegetables for the 10-month-old tot.
She tells People.com, "Food tastes better coming from your mum because it’s made with love.
"Her first food was sweet potatoes and she loved it. She ate the whole thing and it was all over the place - in her hair, on her nose, everywhere!" And Richie’s boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, is delighted with the star’s efforts: "We talk about it all the time… I know exactly what’s going into (Harlow’s) body."

Mexican documentary maker SERVANDO GONZALEZ HERNANDEZ has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 85.
Hernandez was the former chief documentary filmmaker for the Mexican government, but he made his mark in Hollywood in the mid-1960s with his movie The Fool Killer, which starred Anthony Perkins.

NO PLANS FOR ANOTHER BATMAN BEGINS SEQUEL JUST YET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 pm

THE DARK KNIGHT screenwriter DAVID GOYER is baffled by reports he’s working on a second sequel to 2005’s BATMAN BEGINS - because he hasn’t even discussed the possibility with director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN.
Goyer was rumoured to have reteamed with Nolan to pen a script for another installment of the superhero franchise following the huge box office success of this summer’s (08) The Dark Knight.
The film has grossed $988 million (GBP534 million) worldwide since its July (08) release.
But Goyer insists there are no plans for another Batman movie just yet, telling MTV, "It’s all B.S. (bulls**t). All of it." He adds, "Chris and I haven’t even talked about it. He quite understandably is taking a long, long vacation and wants to purge himself.
"We have mused here and there (but) I mean Chris is pretty much a one-movie-at-a-time kind of guy. I wish I could tell you more. There really isn’t anything to tell."

CHILD ACTOR’S MURDER TRIAL PROMPTS VICTIMS’ SONS TO BREAK SILENCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 pm

The adult sons of a couple killed by former child actor SKYLAR DELEON have broken their silence about the tragic 2004 slaying that cost their parents their lives.
Deleon, best-known for his role in U.S. kids TV series Power Rangers, is charged with the murder of Tom and Jackie Hawks.
He allegedly tied the pair to an anchor before tossing them into sea off Newport Beach, California as part of a plot to steal the couple’s yacht.
The 29 year old is charged with two counts of murder and a special circumstance of multiple murder and murder for financial gain.
And, just days after the Deleon trial got underway, Ryan and Matt Hawks have opened up about their parents’ murders.
Ryan Hawks told U.S. morning show Today on Friday (10Oct08) of his last conversation with his parents the day they disappeared: "I was flying to Seattle for work. It was on the last voyage of (their yacht) Well Deserved. I kind of pushed them off the phone; I was running late for a plane. I just felt bad. I had no idea that was the last time I’d talk to them." On his decision to speak out about the tragedy, Hawks added, "It’s important to us as a family, because this is the last thing we’ll ever get to do for our parents. And, as much as it hurts, we just need to be there and represent them." His brother Matt admitted he’s "relieved" that Deleon has opened the trial by admitting guilt: "It’s been four years; it’s been a long time. I’m looking forward to this trial, and I’m sure the jurors will make the correct decision.
"I’m raising two beautiful children now and I don’t have the grandparents, so that they can share their lives with them. It’s just very hard not having them around to share the best part of our life.” The jury will also consider separate murder charges in the death of John Jarvi - a man Deleon met in 2003 while serving jail time for burglary - after a judge consolidated the cases.
Deleon is charged with murder and the special circumstance of murder for financial gain in connection with the Jarvi slaying.
Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Deleon if he is convicted.

The hip-hop star, who has previously hailed Sinatra as his style icon, pays homage to the entertainer in a new advertisement for Ciroc Vodka.

ULRICH SELLING BASQUIAT PAINTING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:21 pm

METALLICA drummer LARS ULRICH looks set to cash in on an artwork by late graffiti artist JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT - the piece is going to auction with an estimated value of $11.1 million (£6 million).
The rocker, who bought Unititled (Boxer) 10 years ago (98), has decided to put it up for sale at New York auction house Christie’s.
Basquiat’s painting, which features a black heavyweight fighter, has been hailed as an "extraordinary" piece of art by Christie’s co-head of contemporary art, Brett Gorvy.
He says, "Untitled (Boxer) is the very best of the artist." Ulrich, an avid art collector, states he is ready to give up the painting for others to enjoy.
He explains, "As a collector, I view myself as a caretaker of works of art, rather than simply an owner. I have been fortunate enough to have shared 10 great years with this truly iconic painting by Basquiat and it is time to put it back into circulation and let someone else enjoy it as much as I have over the last decade." The artwork will go under the hammer on 12 November (08) and is expected to beat the existing record for a Basquiat piece, which was set at $12.95 million (£7 million) in 1981.

MENDES DREAMED OF BEING CALVIN KLEIN MODEL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:45 pm

Actress EVA MENDES jumped at the chance to be a spokesmodel for CALVIN KLEIN, because she was convinced it would give her career a big boost.
The Hitch star is the face of the designer’s new underwear range.
She shot print and TV adverts for the campaign with fashion photographer Steve Meisel earlier this year (08) - but the promo, which sees the actress writhing around topless, was deemed too sexy to be shown on U.S. TV in August (08), and several networks refused to air the footage.
But Mendes, who declared Americans too "prudish" for censoring the ad, doesn’t regret making the saucy film because it fulfilled one of her teenage dreams - to follow in the footsteps of Mark Wahlberg, whose rap alter ego was Marky Mark, and supermodel Kate Moss, who both shot to stardom as Calvin Klein models.
She says, "I grew up on those ads. When Kate Moss and Marky Mark - I mean my friend Mark Wahlberg… can’t say Marky cos he hates that - came out with them, I was like 15 years old. Me and my friends just went crazy. Crazy, crazy. He was so gorgeous… delicious… and still is, of course."
