PALIN TO APPEAR ON SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:42 pm

U.S. vice-presidential candidate SARAH PALIN has sparked rumours she’s set to appear on comedy sketch show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE - after heaping praise on funnywoman TINA FEY’s impersonation of her.
Executive producer Lorne Michaels tells the New York Daily News he has not actively pursued Palin, after the series was rejuvenated by Fey’s three skits as the Alaskan governor.
Republican Palin told reporters on Tuesday (07Oct08) that she would be open to appear on the show with Fey, adding: "I love her, she’s a hoot (fun) and she’s so talented. It would be fun to meet her, imitate her and keep on giving her new material." Michaels is reluctant to confirm Palin’s cameo after a scheduled appearance from political opponent Barack Obama was cancelled at the last minute.
But he confirms campaign heads for Palin’s running-mate, presidential candidate John McCain, called in praising Fey’s first skit last month (Sep08).
Michaels tells the newspaper, "I think we looked stupid… all in good time."
