GERVAIS SPLASHES OUT ON PERSONAL GYM
British comedian RICKY GERVAIS has invested in his own home gym - because he hates exercising in public.
The chubby funnyman recently purchased an apartment in New York with his partner, writer/producer Jane Fallon.
And the Office star has installed a workout room in the basement, so he doesn’t have to feel embarrassed in front of other people.
He says, "Jane and I bought a place in New York because we go there so often.
We built a gym in the basement so I never have to exercise in public." But the indulgent spree has left Gervais feeling ashamed, because he admits he has far too much money to throw around.
He adds: "I’ll probably always feel guilty about spending money because I know I earn too much. My favourite thing in the world is to come home, have a swim, put my pyjamas on and open a bottle of wine."
